- Rated 2 out of 5by Alfred Jorrel Bayle, 19 days agoThis was working about a week ago. I saw the brief notice pop up on the upper right corner of any video I played that it was rendering in 1080. But now for some reason it stopped working so I'm stuck with 960x540 resolution.

posted 19 days agoHey Alfred,
Are you experiencing the issue with *all* titles, or just a few select ones? The resolution you describe is exactly the result of a restriction from Netflix for higher-quality streams being available. As stated in the description of this addon, "some titles may not be available to stream in HD 1080p/1080p+ via web browser, likely due to Netflix codec and licensing requirements". Unfortunately, addons can only use what is available to them. Hopefully, in the future, Netflix will make more stream formats available. Try a few other titles and check your resolution. If you see 1080p, please reconsider your rating due to other titles not working being no fault of the addon. If further assistance is needed, please do not hesitate to reach out! Thank you for your review! support@netflux.me - Rated 5 out of 5by Heinrich Lunge, 19 days agoIt works like a charm, I wish there was an equivalent for Disney+, Max and Prime Video. Anyway, good job.

- Rated 3 out of 5by LoopyMind, 2 months agodoesn't appear to be working? Not sure if this is the actual resolution next to Bit-rate (a/v) (960x540) but that doesn't change no matter what I watch. (could just be that i picked a few that aren't 1080P ...I would have thought Venom would be???)
Developer response
posted 2 months agoThis is is likely due to a limitation from Netflix and/or features available via web browser (codecs, etc.). The addon will always choose the best quality available based on the settings chosen. You might try a few other titles to see if the issue persists. If they work as expected, then the aforementioned would likely be the cause. The resolution is the last parameter listed next to "Playing bitrate". As a mention, it will typically take a few moments to reach full resolution due to filling the streaming buffer from Netflix. If further assistance is needed, please do not hesitate to reach out! - Rated 5 out of 5by Yevon, 2 months agoworks great ! thank you very much for this addon finally netflix works again on firefox it was such a pain trying to get 1080p on pc. If you could integrate prime video (because it sometimes thinks my high end gaming pc is to weak for 1080p) that would be great.

posted 2 months agoThis is normal behavior and due to filling the streaming buffer from Netflix. Thank you for your review, it is greatly appreciated! - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 17792553, 3 months agoNetflix app on the Microsoft Store started requiring Microsoft Edge with the latest update so I went back to using it in Firefox. The addon does what it exactly says. However I would like to know if the dev can allow us to select specific codecs like AVC, AVC-high, VP9 and AV1 alongside the resolution selector. Currently 1080p defaults to VP9 and 1080p+ defaults to AVC-high.

posted 2 months agoThis could definitely be something to add for advanced features in a future release. Thank you for your suggestions and feedback! - Rated 5 out of 5by Chris, 3 months agoDefinitely works really well!!! Easy to modify the options and verify that the changes have been applied right away! Full 1080p + under Linux, thank you so much for this!

- Rated 4 out of 5by MT430, 4 months agoI don't see any difference between 720p or FHD 1080p+ or video without addons. Seems like it doesn't work.
Update:
It works for most, but not for all videos - sometimes is 720p or even 540p when on TV is 1080 available. I.e. this one: netflix.com/watch/81488656 - addon shows 1080+, but picture is so poor like 540p.
But when it works, it works great!Developer response
posted 4 months agoAfter you start a title on Netflix, you can bring up the stats window by pressing CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+D, which would be a 100% reliable metric to judge functionality. You will see the actual streaming resolution as well as several other stats, such as audio playback to verify. Keep in mind that it will take Netflix a short time to buffer to HD resolution when you first start watching; this is normal. If you have one of the 1080p presets chosen and it is available on the title you are watching, it will match closely to the screenshot below taken today.
This addon is working as intended, as you can see from over 1,000 users and several ratings. It was also updated yesterday to reflect the most recent Netflix updates. It would be greatly appreciated if you could verify via Netflix's built-in stats in case there is a bug or a simple misunderstanding; please consider updating your very low rating.
