- Rated 5 out of 5by clone1008, 3 months agoThis extension will work but you have to do a little trick first.
There's a simple fix: create a subreddit. It can be private and something that no one ever has to see or that you ever have to use. Just the fact that it exists allows you to access the older site layout that you may've been using for the last 8 years.
Just click on "Create a community" on the left of the screen, choose a name (I simply used my username) and description, pick any 3 topics (doesn't matter, since the sub will be private), then choose "Private" and create.
From now on, like before, make sure that your URLs contain "new.reddit.com" instead of "www.reddit.com" which is what this extension does for you. - Rated 1 out of 5by Marty, 4 months agoUnfortunately the extension no longer works and therefore the pre-2024 UI cannot be restored. This really annoys me

Aside from the share url problems, Im having a new problem:

- Rated 1 out of 5by fourohfour, 7 months agoI don't get any kind of error - it just won't redirect. Can you please fix this?

posted 7 months agoHello, what operating system are you on and are you logged into Reddit before installing the addon? have you read the notes section of the addon page? - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18383139, 7 months agoNever asked to read site data (even after refresh, restart, reinstall), meaning it never got permission to do the only thing it's supposed to do
You were faced with an issue and instead of being at all helpful you just said "it works fine for some people". Not even the first time you've used that line lolDeveloper response
posted 7 months agoDont know what to tell you. it works for over 1000 people on firefox and over 3k in Chrome. No one but you has reported this as an issue. Its most likely another conflicting addon or an issue with your browser. I'd suggest you try to reinstall Firefox.
P.S.
Yes thats is how dev work functions. You dont drop the ball and work on fixing an issue only ONE PERSON reported over another 4000 plus users. That is non sense and if you want to complain about a FREE ADDON. You are more then welcome to go else where for your needs. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 17600623, 7 months ago

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18370875, 8 months agoReddit broke after I installed this extension. Even though I am logged in, I can't access any page in the Reddit domain.

posted 8 months agoSeems to work fine for over 1000 users and I use Firefox on a daily with Reddit. Its still working just fine. Feel free to email me a picture of the issue and I can help you look into it. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13175979, 8 months agoSo far seems to work great. Reddit's UI update of 2024 is a nightmare. They had it right but then inexplicably decided to make it a privacy nightmare. The irony of needing a browser addon that accesses all your data on the site isn't lost on me but Reddit has everything you want private now on display for anyone to read over your shoulder. This, at least for now, resets the UI to what it should be.
- Rated 2 out of 5by That One Guy, 8 months agoIt breaks Reddit page loading on my computer. You have to disable the extension then reeable it or Reddit won't load on my computer and it says "the page isn't redirecting correctly" on a blank white page.

posted 8 months agoRead the notes section of the addon... it doesnt work if you are not logged into Reddit or using it in incognito mode. - Rated 5 out of 5by Feyawen, 8 months agoI dislike the 2024 UI redesign so much I actually stopped using Reddit. Saw this add-on, tried it, it works (as of April 2024), highly recommended!
