In fact, PassFF is an extension for users of the password manager called "pass" written by Jason A. Donenfeld of zx2c4.com. If you don't know this password manager or don't know how to set it up, this extension won't be of any help for you, I'm afraid.

It's beyond the scope of this extension to introduce new users to the dis-/advantages and to the usage of "pass".

    It works only with 2 formats, none of them work with password-store's ability to copy a line number of a entry.

    Doesn't work. Even with the host app, pass working, double checked the paths and config. "Connection to the host app failed or returned an unexpected result!"

    Great extension that makes using the 'pass' password manager a bit less nerdy ;)

    Takes a bit of effort to set up, but totally worth it.

    Works great. Love it. - UPDATE: 2024

    I switched from MacOS to Windows 11 in 2024 and wanted to keep using PassFF. It didn't work out the box for me, so I wrote a little guide codefodder.github.io/jasonm23/c2c3d96512ddac336ffa878a0d38d712 hope it helps someone else too.

    Works perfectly. Only quirk I have is that the popup is as wide as the username input box, which in my case is a tad too small (I have password entries with 3 or 4 directories).
