- Rated 1 out of 5by Brimstone, 7 years agoNo longer works on MAC OS with Firefox 58 update. Locks up the page I am trying to print. Has become useless. Excellent product prior to Firefox 58 update.

posted 7 years agoPlease try Print Edit WE 21.0 which has been substantially re-desiged- Rated 1 out of 5by 18HopeCSF, 7 years agoComplete and absolute crap: Each time you try to use it, it creates e new tab with the page you just opened, refreshing all the page and erasing all the information it had. If you want to print a page with no info it's OK, not spectacular but OK.
I suppose it has to do with the firefox update, but the previous addons was far more reliable and useful. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13596439, 7 years agoUseless if the web page has data embedded. Excellent if it doesn't. In other words, the "prep" stage rerenders the default settings of the web page, which automatically eliminates any tables, data or page rendering options selected on the web page prior to selecting print edit. 90% of my work is on websites with embedded data tables. The old version allowed print editing of the selected version of the web page without having to rerender the web page. It worked perfectly. Now that feature no longer exists. Please add that feature to this app or allow us to use the legacy version of Print Edit. Yes, the new Print Edit WE produces a higher quality print/pdf but quality is irrelevant if you can't print the required data.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13573442, 7 years agoUsed to have an edit button next to the orientation on the print preview screen. I don't know why they got rid of this feature. Now none of my documents will print in web style.

posted 7 years agoJust click on the Web Style button before previewing or printing. - Rated 1 out of 5by skaizun, 7 years agoIn Firefox 58 beta, this add-on creates a new tab showing the desired page. It seems to work. when I select elements of the page that I want printed, although you have to be careful about clicking within tables, frames, etc. But, when I submitted to print, the print preview showed the entire page! I'm not going to bother to waste paper and ink to see if it would have worked. Removed.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 12831127, 7 years agoune page en anglais majoritaire et quelques mots en français : comment faire ?
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13538331, 7 years agoSlow, needs huge resources, does not load for large pages/graphics, highlighting (be other addons) is lost, text pieces option cannot be saved as before, needs always 2 tabs, why? As long as only WE is available for the new firefox this is a
show stopper
for firfox release 57. I'll stay with firefox 56 and non-WE PrintEdit. Even if firefox is somewhat slower...
Ergo: You should make PrintEdit non-WE kompatible for firefox 57. No other way. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13525562, 7 years agoThis is a joke, right? Right? What a big turd this turned into. If it's not broken, DON'T FIX IT!!!
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13523946, 7 years agodon't know what you did to this extension but go back to the original print edit. Half the time this doesn't work at all. More cumbersome and have to wait for the page to load. Was so much nicer as an option in the print menu
- Rated 1 out of 5by Soheil, 7 years agoif i want say in 1 word: Rubbish
1 star is so much for this. -5 star is so more appropriate
dont waste your time and dont use of it
maaaaaaaaany week - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13513751, 7 years agoI am continually frustrated that
1) there is no longer "PDF Print" choice button / box. The PDF Print capability was able to create pdf docs that retained the ability to copy characters (words, letters, numbers, sentences, etc.) to the clipboard when other pdf printers will not
2) the program will randomly not print / display whole web pages
3) the program will randomly not display all of the details shown on web pages
4) the program adds steps to its operation beyond the previous Print Edit program - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13498672, 7 years agoDOES NOT WORK since the new update to Firefox. I used the old Print Edit EVERY DAY and now I cannot get the Print Edit WE to work. Please fix or let me go back to the old Firefox!
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13473073, 7 years agoA versão anterior era perfeita, esta deixou muito a desejar, está confusa e não edita direito as páginas para imprimir.
POR FAVOR ATUALIZEM O ANTIGO PRINT EDIT PARA FUNCIONAR NO FIREFOX 57. Ele era muito melhor.
The previous version (Print Edit) was perfect, this version (Print Edit WE) is confusing and does not edit the pages to print right. PLEASE UPGRADE PRINT EDIT TO WORK ON THE FIREFOX 57. It was much better. - Rated 1 out of 5by Eric, 7 years agoI am unable to get PrintEditWE to work. (Workaround: Use printEdit on Firefox ESR or Waterfox.)
- Rated 1 out of 5by Ricky LaFleur, 7 years agoI like that this version creates the editable page in another tab as opposed to the previous version that dominated the entire window, but opening a page in a new tab creates a problem when that page what generated by logging in or using a search function that does not carry over if the page is duplicated.
- Rated 1 out of 5by jajajajajaja...., 7 years agoDude...
Hell of a lot of permissions you are asking for:
This add-on can:
Access your data for all websites
Download files and read and modify the browser’s download history
Display notifications to you
Access browser tabs
Access browser activity during navigation
I won't be upgrading my Print Edit only for this reason.
I need my Print Edit as it is and you need to clarify why you need all these permissions.Developer response
posted 7 years agoLegacy add-ons, such as the original Print Edit, had greater permissions than Print Edit WE.
The permission messages that you see when you install an add-on are generated by Firefox. These permission messages are based on the permissions specified in the add-on manifest file. These permission messages are broad-brush and do not give a detailed insight into the operations performed by an add-on.
In summary:
- Print Edit WE only asks for the permissions it needs to perform its functions.
- Print Edit WE saves the configured options in your Firefox profile on your computer.
- Print Edit WE (when you use Save As HMTL or Save As PDF) saves the page you have edited in the location you choose on your computer.
- Print Edit WE does not send any data to the developer or to third parties. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13330898, 7 years agoSorry, but I haven't even downloaded Print Edit WE, because I don't think Mozilla, as an independent organization which is keen on personal security/privacy, should be asking for all these permissions:
******************
Permissions
Some add-ons ask for permission to perform certain functions (example: a tab management add-on will ask permission to access your browser’s tab system).
Since you’re in control of your Firefox, the choice to grant or deny these requests is yours. Accepting permissions does not inherently compromise your browser’s performance or security, but in some rare cases risk may be involved.
This add-on can:
Access your data for all websites
Download files and read and modify the browser’s download history
Display notifications to you
Access browser tabs
Access browser activity during navigation
********************
If/when the permissions are cut to ONLY those strictly necessary for printing the page you're on, I might reconsiderDeveloper response

When I try to edit a web page, not all of the page will disappear when I highlight and Delete Except, etc. I can't seem to get the edited part to move to the top and to the left. I end up with a lot of dead space on top and on the left, which makes it basically unusable. Also, I have Yahoo mail. I used to be able to pull up the print page from yahoo mail, then "Print Edit" from the new print page. I realize there is a ""Format" option, but it's in a format that non-techies like me can't understand. Also, the "Delete Except" unrestricted seems to wipe everything off the screen. I'm using Firefox 56.0 (64 bit).
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 12074104, 7 years agoWith the previous Print Edit i could save data as HTML. Now i can only print what i also can do without this app.

posted 7 years agoYou should still be able to save an edited web page by clicking the 'Save' button on the Print Edit WE toolbar, and then selecting one of the following menu commands:
- Save As HTML
- Save As PDF (not available on Mac OS X)
Which version of Firefox are you using?
Which operating system are you using?
If you are still having difficulties, please email to: dw-dev@gmx.com - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 12623088, 8 years agoWhen I edit, I like to preview a lot so this is a deal breaker for me. Going back to Print Edit. Good luck.
In response to the developer's comment:
Thank you for the suggestion, but since the regular "Print Edit" extension has a Preview button that actually works, I don't see the need for this extension.Developer response
posted 8 years agoUsing Print Edit WE 19.0 with Firefox 56 (or later) you can now:
- save edited web pages as PDF files by clicking on the 'Save' toolbar button and then seleting 'Save as PDF'.
- switch directly from the Edit window to the Print Preview window by clicking on the 'Preview' toolbar button.
