by stuckfly, 5 years agoLove it because the add-on does exactly what I want. Wish I could set the shortcut to command-p but that's reserved.
Developer response
posted 5 years agoYes... unfortunately command-p is reserved... But you can set another shortcut on the page about:addons by clicking in the gear and "Manage Extension Shortcuts".
I'm thinking in modify the icon, feel free to open a new issue about that in https://github.com/jhonatasrm/print-preview/issues
Thank you for the review :)

- Rated 1 out of 5by John, 3 years agoThis feature seemed to not ever really work. I could however ope the applications menu and click print which would pull up the print preview screen. In the last few months I can not locate any possible way to print preview any page. Hundreds of unnecessary documents printer/wasted.
Developer response
posted 2 years agoI'm sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, we had some updates on the browser that affected the add-on. Thank you very much for your honest review.

- Rated 1 out of 5by justinianus, 3 years agoIn the current version of Firefox (v.95.0.2 - Jan. 2022), this extension does literally nothing (as far as I can tell). It has the exact same effect as using Ctrl+P or the browser's normal Print dialog. But it does give a context menu entry, so I guess that's something?

:) - Rated 1 out of 5by rb07, 3 years agoUseless with the latest FF versions.
It doesn't do anything different that Ctrl-P, or using the Print... function.
Gone is the very useful "simplify page" functionality, which really needed to be improved not discarded.Developer response

:) - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 15409203, 4 years agoOMG, I'm buying you a coffee! Thank you for creating this helpful little add-on! Some of the windows I have to print come in the form of pop-ups (rubrics and such--I'm a teacher), and there is no FF menu bar for "print preview" in pop-up windows. I've lost count of the number of screenshots I've taken (and then finagled with) to get a decent printout.
This adds a "print preview" to the right-click context menu as promised--and is SOOOO helpful!
Thank you again,

posted 2 years agoThank you very much! I'm sorry for not responding to your review here, but for sure I responded to your coffee (I remember your comment). Above all, I'm really glad that the add-on was useful to you.
Thank you very much for the coffee and for the review!

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 15093780, 5 years agoI can't believe Firefox doesn't have their
"print preview" feature built into the ctrl+p keyboard shortcut! Adding this print extension allows you to at least associate AN keyboard shortcut combination. I have a Logitech Craft keyboard and assigned the ctrl+shift+u shortcut to one of my lesser used keys for simplicity.
This shortcut works well! - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13587304, 5 years agoThe Print Preview context menu is exactly what I needed. I am surprised Firefox does not have this function built in like Chrome does. At first the save option was not working with Firefox version 67.0.1 but after I reported this issue he quickly corrected it. It is now working wonderfully. I recommend this to anyone who is wants to simplify print preview with fewer clicks.

- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13529588, 6 years agoWorks well, except the print preview icon/command keeps disappearing from the context menu. I can go into the extension's Options menu and turn on the command again (even though it still showed as "On"), but it only reappears for one use and then disappears again. Please fix this...it's otherwise a helpful extension.
