- Rated 1 out of 5by wouterlamers, a year agoBroken. Only gives the NS_ERROR_UNKNOWN_PROXY_HOST error.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Lubbe, a year agoCome on PIA guys, we use Firefox for a reason, and PIA for a reason. The add-on used to work well, but at the moment completely unusable with the NS_ERROR_UNKNOWN_PROXY_HOST error.

Windows 10 Enterprise v19041.1415 - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 17688520, 2 years agoPrivate Internet Access it's a ridiculous company that doesn't know how to make an extension that works. I will cancel my subscription and never used them again. Time wasters that should not be allowed to do business on the Internet. Shame on you Private Internet Access.

NS_ERROR_UNKNOWN_PROXY_HOST, how to get rid of it? - Rated 1 out of 5by Balathustrius, 2 years agoConnection error
NS_ERROR_UNKNOWN_PROXY_HOST
Just literally doesn't work. Shame on PIA for leaving this active and unusable. Take it down, or fix it. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 17659335, 2 years agoVery disappointed. Whenever I try to enable this extension, and try to access any web site, I get the error:
Connection error
NS_ERROR_UNKNOWN_PROXY_HOST
All their support could tell me is "Unfortunately, we have limited support for the browser extension, and the only troubleshooting step for this is to reinstall the browser extension and use it with the Incognito/private browser". I replied asking what the "incognito/private browser" was, but haven't heard back. I don't know why they have this extension if they don't support it.
I'll try the Chrome extension in Brave, see if that works. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 16715992, 2 years agoRecently stopped working, seems as if PIA have abandoned the extension altogether. Will likely have to cancel my subscription since I can't have my entire system routed through the VPN at times
- Rated 1 out of 5by Artem S. Tashkinov, 2 years agoDoesn't work at all unfortunately. The version for Chrome does.
- Rated 1 out of 5by theskipster, 2 years agoExtension does not work for me at all across multiple computers. Contacted support, and was told "Unfortunately, we have limited support for the browser extension, and the only troubleshooting step for this is to reinstall the browser extension and use it with the Incognito/private browser". Why even offer a browser extension if you don't support it? Extremely frustrating.

- Rated 1 out of 5by JE, 3 years agoHalf the time this extension does not work, sometimes it says its connected but wont open any website, keeps saying proxy refusing connection. And at time says clock is set to wrong time, etc. The Desktop App work well and connects without any issues, for this add-on to work, it has to be your lucky day.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Karstone, 3 years agoDoesn't even work 90% of the time these days its basically a gimmick. Shits really gone downhill with these guys dont think I'll be resubing.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 17080879, 3 years agoPrivate Internet Access is now owned by Kape Technologies (formerly Crossrider), a former malware and adware distributor. They have also purchased ExpressVPN, CyberGhost, Zenmate and many VPN "Review" websites which have artificial ratings to mislead you into purchasing their products.
