EXTENSION PRIVACY POLICY
Purpose of the privacy policy
This privacy policy relates to our browser extension (Chrome, Firefox, Edge ...) and describes how we process personally identifiable information when you download and use a custom toolbar (toolbar) created by Prizle.
Prizle will notify you if we make any significant changes to this policy, in which case you will have the option to stop using the toolbar.
This policy is also subject to our general privacy policy statement for the Prizle website, located at https://www.prizle.com//content/privacy.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding this policy, please contact us by email at support@prizle.com.
If you decide to stop using the toolbar, you can uninstall it at any time using the standard uninstall process for your operating system and browser (Removing add-ons from Mozilla Firefox, etc.).
You can also hide or disable the toolbar by clicking on the View menu in your browser and deselecting the toolbar from the list of available toolbars.
If you wish to modify the personally identifiable information that you have provided to us, or have your personally identifiable information deleted from our database, please contact us at support@prizle.com, or log into your personal space at www.prizle.com.
Collection of personally identifiable information
If you choose not to create an account on Prizle, you will still be able to use the toolbar, but will only be able to use it in anonymous mode and will not have access to tracking information related to your account.
Your name and email address will be used to identify you in our system and to contact you in connection with the toolbar and other free fundraising initiatives. We do not track information about the searches you do via the toolbar.
Use and sharing of personally identifiable information
The personally identifiable information collected by Prizle is generally used as follows:
To conduct market research, plan projects, solve problems, detect and protect against errors, fraud or any other criminal activity, enforce our terms of use and for other purposes, as indicated in this policy and authorized by you.
To notify you by e-mail of special offers or other products and services that may be of interest to you.
We may also contact you and provide you with information that may be targeted to your interests, such as targeted advertising banners and product communications.
You can always refuse all or part of these communications by following the instructions included in our emails or other communications.
One of the features of our toolbar and portal allows users to invite friends via email invitation to download the toolbar and join the community and publisher portal.
We do not share your personally identifiable information with unaffiliated third parties, except to the extent permitted or required by law, as otherwise specified in this policy or otherwise authorized by you, including as noted below:
In order to provide our products and services, we may share personally identifiable information about you with our affiliates, agents and services provided to perform functions on our behalf.
These service providers are only required to access and use personally identifiable information to the extent necessary for the performance of their duties and for no other purpose.
We may disclose personally identifiable information about you to third parties when we believe such disclosure is appropriate to comply with a legal requirement, such as a law, regulation, court order, subpoena or a search warrant, or during legal proceedings.
We may also disclose personally identifiable information that we consider appropriate to enforce or enforce our rights under our agreements with customers, to protect the rights, property or safety of Prizle, our customers and others, including exchanging information to protect against fraud and reduce credit risk.
Non-personally identifiable information
Non-personally identifiable information is information that cannot identify a specific person.
This type of information includes a postal code or a city or state of residence, without association with a name or address, as well as information transmitted during routine Internet communications, the user's Internet service provider, the computer operating system and browser type.
We may provide aggregated, non-personally identifiable information on our media to third parties for auditing, marketing research and other purposes. Since the aggregated data is not associated with any particular person, these third parties will not have access to any personally identifiable information about you.
Data collection and cookies
The Prizle toolbar may allow Prizle to collect certain information as part of its functionality.
For example, when you submit a request to Prizle, the Prizle toolbar sends basic information to Prizle, including your IP address and certain cookie data.
Information sent to Prizle from the toolbar can be saved by Prizle. This also includes usage data correlated with the Prizle toolbar as well as any areas visited when the Prizle toolbar is activated.
Please note that we do not keep a log of research data.
The Prizle toolbar contains functionality that allows Prizle to redirect you to the intended location in case you enter a URL that does not work. As part of this function, the Prizle toolbar sends information about the URLs you enter to Prizle for processing.
Like most websites and toolbar products, Prizle uses cookies and web log files to track your use of the toolbar and portal to allocate donations to your association.
A cookie is a small data file that resides on your computer and allows Prizle to recognize you as a user when you use the toolbar or the website using the same computer and web browser and to provide you with custom features.
Unfortunately, if your browser settings do not allow cookies, you may not be able to use the website or get full use of the toolbar.
Cookies also help us to understand how users use and interact with the toolbar and the portal, which allows us to continuously improve our products and services and to help the publisher with their portal and programs.
Like the information you enter during registration, cookie data and log files are used to personalize your experience and provide you with personalized functionality.
A type of cookie, called a "persistent" cookie, is set when you log in to your user account.
The next time you visit the portal, the persistent cookie will allow us to recognize you as an existing user so that you do not need to log in before using the service or for the features used by the bar. tools.
To change your email address or password, however, you will need to re-enter your password even if your computer contains your persistent cookie.
In addition, if you log out of the portal, you will need to re-enter your password the next time you log in to log into your account. Another type of cookie, called a “session” cookie, is used to identify a particular visit to the portal site. Session cookies expire shortly or when you close your web browser.
Due to Internet communication standards, when you visit the portal, we automatically receive the URL of the site you are coming from and the site you are going to when you exit the portal. We also receive the Internet Protocol (IP) address of your computer (or the proxy server that you use to access the Web), your computer's operating system and the type of Web browser you use, as well as the name from your ISP. Tracking technologies are used to collect statistical data on users and more generally to improve our services and offer programs on the portal.
No adware
In addition to the advertisements which are on the portal or in relation to the programs, Prizle does not place advertisements on the components of the toolbar and does not require that the users of the toolbar be exposed to the advertisements.
Our toolbar does not launch pop-up or pop-under browser windows.
Security
We take precautions - including technical, administrative and physical measures - to protect your information.
We use technical protections such as firewalls and data encryption.
Your account information, including email address, is located on a secure server behind a firewall.
We allow access to personally identifiable information, including email addresses, only to employees, contractors and agents who need to know this information to operate, develop or improve our services.
