by Ivanion, a year agoIt seems that it checkes for studies at random times. I for sure saw it not cheking for a few hours or checking every 2 minutes. This leads to a loss in the possibility of taking more studies. At least it is better than checking directly the website all day long.

- Rated 2 out of 5by Jacksaur, a month agoWhen it works it's decent. Sometimes gets me into studies that are failing with "too high demand" on the main site. "When it works" is the key factor. Logs me out at random times with no warning, occasionally will not refresh whatsoever, for days until I finally open it and notice the last refresh date is "never". And will randomly reset my alert sound occasionally, missing even more studies until I check and change the settings from their defaults again.
Good idea, just left in a terrible state for far too long. - Rated 1 out of 5by Zandile, 2 months ago

- Rated 1 out of 5by Krystal Heart, 5 months agoI've had this for ages, initially it worked well, but in the last month or two it requires me to log in upto 10 times a day. It has no sound alert as it used to and no settings or studies buttons at the bottom just a blank area. In addition it stops checking with no warning and it can be quite a while before I find out by clicking on the icon that it hasn't been checking for hours. I've tried to reinstall it, but it is still the same. Please fix it Prolific!
- Rated 1 out of 5by Ekwunife, 5 months agoThe app is not so active in my Firefox not giving me notifications
- Rated 1 out of 5by Anonymous, 6 months agoExtension broke itself and had to reinstall. Loop of endless loading.
Notifications also do not show the pay rate for studies. - Rated 1 out of 5by Luminous Matter, 6 months agoNow the extension doesn't work at all. While logged in clicking the extension opens a new window for a second and then closes it, with no effect. While logged out the window stays with the prolific login-page, however after logging in through that page we are back to step 1.
- Rated 1 out of 5by serph_sheffield, 6 months agoThe update on 23rd of May 2024 appears to have broken audio notifications. No longer available in the settings and no longer working.

- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 17970086, a year agoThis would be perfect if it checked more often. Sadly it's practically useless as it stands due to the huge quantity of users refreshing the site every few seconds, even grabbing studies with auto-accept scripts. A lot of the time when you do get a notification it's already full.
- Rated 2 out of 5by DC Writer, a year agoIt notifies you for every study, not the studies you qualify for; i.e. meaningless and near-constant notifications

- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 17756477, 2 years agoIt works well for me but badly needs a dark mode toggle or to respect system-wide darkmode. The site responds well to darkreader but that doesn't extend to add-ons. It can't be that hard. Most addons that have a dropdown menu have a darkmode option.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Lymiss, 3 years agoBeen using Prolific for over a year now and the website is great. The extension for Firefox was fine and working well up until a couple of days ago. Firefox had an update that for some reason messed up my settings on the browser and I had to do a fresh install to fix everything. Since this, the extension is not updating and it shows "err" on the little icon. When you click on the refresh button, it won't refresh. I am missing out on studies because of this. Hopefully this can get fixed soon.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12322469, 3 years agoIt works fine for me! And the reason things are gone already is because everyone is going for it. Chill!
