by CrubNine, 3 months ago1.68 update is leaving a residue static sound whenever there is text loaded in the extension. This is distracting and making the pause feature unusable for me.
Edit: I tried out older versions and retried the new one and the problem went away. No idea what was causing it. I encountered another bug however with the new "Piper" feature, the extension was not able to load the manager page where you install the voices. It worked on Brave though (I use LibreWolf)
Edit2: Static sound problem came back. I decided to revert back and stay in version 1.66 No longer experience the issue on that version.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 15773329, 11 days agoMakes it so you cant copy and paste in any other application. The voices are grating and annoying to listen to. Unfortunately I havent found anything else with a better voice. The option to change voices other then the first few dont work having you run a script that doesnt work and having you basically write your own code to make the others work.

it just simply ridiculous guys. Is this a joke or somehting? It's probably my fault, but this sounds 10 times worse as stephen hawking. Or maybe like one of Edison's first phonograph recordings Mawawary hawawad alala liwiwiwttle lawawawam. Come on.. - Rated 1 out of 5by honza1616, a month agoIn my language (Czech), it's like listening to a robot. Try the Edge browser, it has the reader already installed and it's perfect.
