- Rated 4 out of 5by forrest phantom, a month agovery much impressed by its detection of language and pronunciation.
- Rated 2 out of 5by Lucas, a month agoThe good point is that it reads smoothly. It highlights the paragraphs, which is helpful, but not the words being read. Therefore it is difficult for me to know where in the paragraph we are, if I want to start follow the reading at any point of the flow.
It opens a little window on the top right of the browser and this window closes down if you click somewhere else. This is not useful if you like to take notes while being shown where in the text the reading is happening.
No images are shown in that window, only text. Therefore sometimes I don't know to which picture I should look at in the original page (in the text sometimes it says "...as demonstrated in the picture on the left"). I tried to scroll down on the original text whenever I heard that but then the little window would close and I'd lost myself once again. Too much cognitive load.
In my opinion it would be best if the read aloud took place in the original page, not in a popup window. - Rated 4 out of 5by henryk, 2 months ago
- Rated 2 out of 5by KlowIsHere, 2 months agoVery robotic voice, and it always cuts the last syllable of each paragraph.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 15112842, 2 months agoSi fuera posible, indíquenme donde localizar algún tutorial, la extensión me parece una pasada, aunque se me ha puesto con voz robótica y no tengo narices de volver a la voz natural.

- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 18662249, 2 months agoThe googlecloud voices are pretty good, but they don't play well with VPN (I have to update their permissions at least once per day). So be prepared for choppy robot voices, or having to do extra steps to use the add on every day.
It would also be nice if instead of having a separate popout window, it just highlighted the word it was reading on the webpage itself, with just pause/play and skip buttons. (Even better if I could click on the page and play from there instead of having to skip a bunch of the content to find where I want to resume listening)
All of that said, the add-on does read the pages for me, and once I confirm I'm not a robot the google voices are great. - Rated 4 out of 5by jgnetworksecurity, 2 months ago
- Rated 1 out of 5by anonymousUser, 3 months agoThis used to work the best but from past few years it sounds like shit and we can not do anything about it .....Pleaaase bring back the audio quality back..... now it sounds too robotics impossible to understand moreover the extension lags a lot.. there is no good read aloud extension out there for firefox.... in window speechify and natural reader works the best but here on firefox there's none. - Rated 4 out of 5by O. Delannoy, 3 months agoL'écoute des pages HTML et PDF est correcte dans l'ensemble. Certains mots ne sont pas bien reproduits, mais la transcription est bien meilleure que d'autres outils du genre.

- Rated 5 out of 5by farad.ai, 3 months agoi see a lot of low ratings because of the voice options. GO TO PIPER VOICES (Experimental)
there are so many good voices to install. Cori and Jenny_Dioco are the best IMO - Rated 5 out of 5by NEWMAN88FREEDOM, 3 months ago
- Rated 4 out of 5by numInt, 3 months agoThank you for the very nice add-on. it's very useful. But one thing as a sorry point is that the shortcut key is not editable for now. I have set it in the past, and it has been kept but it doesn't function. I can't find any buttons like 'Edit' despite that I can see the list of shortcut keys. Further, the shortcut key also doesn't work now(I have to 'click' the icon). Due to the settings of the FIrefox's security?
p.s. It seems like shortcut keys conflict among some add-ons in my choices. It can be resolved with the editor for the shortcut key if it works.
