by testuser42, 4 years agoVery useful Addon, I use it frequently to save articles I like, but have an ugly layout.
One feature I would really like to have is the option to format everything to justified text.
There are some features in design mode that don't seem to work - an explaining tooltip would be helpful (or did I miss the description somewhere?):
The crossed-out T seems to toggle Bold/Italic mode, but I can do that with the B and I buttons as well.
The picture symbol does not seem to do anything at all?
The quote-symbol seems to do the same as the text-indentation, except you cannot undo it.
And finally, I'm missing the 'options'-page, as shown in the video, is this feature not available any more?
I never use the text-to-speech function so I cannot say anything about it.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 15275508, a year agoIt's a definite improvement on Firefox's own reader view, and very customizable.
I have some vision problems and this add-on really helps.
I also use this to quickly convert articles into pretty looking documents that I can print, or save as PDF for my e-reader. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14715505, a year ago

I was trying to skip ahead to later in a page and it would only play from the beginning. Even waiting it out didn't help because it would read the first few paragraphs and then stop. - Rated 5 out of 5by Jérôme Chantegrave, a year ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by Lunule, 2 years agoThis is the best readability add-on for Firefox at the moment - it's reliable (doesn't remove the full article LOL, like for instance the Clearly Reader add-on does), its editor funcitonality is top-notch, and the default reader layout is just beautiful and calming.

- Rated 3 out of 5by Mylk, 2 years agoThe new update disabled the icon in the address bar, now it's just a simple + icon next to the other addons.
- Rated 3 out of 5by mikamves, 2 years agoIt's better than default reader view, but auto switching is very buggy and on most pages doesn't work. I go back to default reader and Automatic Reader View add-on.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Szmiiit, 2 years agoI was searching for alternatives to default Reader Mode of Firefox browser because on forum Sufficient Velocity it works in a really wonky way making it completely unusable. There is some weird interaction with "Threadmark" function of Sufficient Velocity forum that causes (Default) Reader Mode to fetch text from always the wrong post (either last or the next one).
This addon solves that problem thanks to option to manually direct the source of fetched data through highlighting the correct post bypassing the weird interactions. Exactly what I was looking for! - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 6767172, 2 years ago
