- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 12476097, 3 years agoI have been using this add-on for 2 days now, I've set my TV's IP in the options like stated. So far it's 50-50. It does cast on my Roku TV which is a 2018 55in 4K TV. It can detect YouTube, gives me two casting options but fail to cast it on my TV and since I don't have any cast option with the OG YouTube platform on my FireFox browser well this mean I can't watch anything from it on my tv. Then I've tried it with other videos on YT, nothing worked always load the whole bar but casting failed message appear on my screen. It also does the same thing with Prime Videos. Tried it with DailyMotion and it works like a charm with it! Then went on to try it with a few other websites using third parties streaming sites: watchwrestling works great, so far everything from StreamonHD that I've tried works fine as well. Tried it on a private streaming website airing alternative news and works a 100%. Then went on Odysee, this on is a no-no since Odysee doesn't detect my TV at all, no matter which videos I'm trying to watch it gives me no option of casting. So as of now it's a good addon for casting but not a great one. It does what it is supposed to but is not working properly with Youtube nor Prime Videos and won't work at all with Odysee! So I guess it still needs works for these particular websites but so far so good for the rest, great job to the Dev! Dec. 12th 2021.
Update: Odysee is now working properly 75-80% of the time, still no go with Youtube, I always get a message that the connection failed. So far so good, I now give it 3.5 out of 5. Dec. 19th 2021.Developer response
posted 3 years agoJust merged a bunch of commits for media detection and youtube playback from another guy's fork, give it a spin and let me know! - Rated 1 out of 5by AdkGuy, 4 years agoThis extension does not work - don't waste your time with it. Does not detect, nor does it save the IP address of your roku. Hope the developer fixes this or removes it from the extension store

- Rated 1 out of 5by John, 4 years agoDoesn't work at all. Even when manually entering Roku IP Address it fails to find the device, much less cast. Oh well...

posted 4 years agoYeah, noticed it myself a few days ago. Seems it wasn't an easy portjob like I thought it would be. I'll take a look at some point.
