- Rated 5 out of 5by IQman, a month agoplease you shouldn't use ctrl+shift as hotkey, it remove the ability to select word on addressbar

- Rated 5 out of 5by Billips, 6 months agoPerfect. Wish this was available on Chrome, the equivalents there are nowhere near remotely as good.
- Rated 4 out of 5by voca_ish, 8 months agoit works but i think it would be better if the option to mirror the video was in the menu and wasn't purely left up to a key shortcut.
edit: you're talking about in preferences, right? i've looked there. i'm not sure what i'm supposed to be seeingDeveloper response

on the "Zoom / Mirror" button displayed on YouTube Player at the bottom of the menu, there's a Mirror button. You just don't see it. If it's not FullScreen, you have to scroll down.
Now you don't have to scroll. Just need to update to v5.3.3. I let it all show.
=====
It's at the bottom of the menu. If you don't see it, scroll down. - Rated 5 out of 5by Win32User, 8 months agoGood and useful addon. Hotkeys are a little bit inconvenient. Could you add some convenience options that ctrl + mouse wheel = zoom in/out and ctrl + mouse drag = move video in that direction? If addon API itself does not allow such hotkeys then maybe you can inject some kind of user script or something? If you don't want to have it by default you could have checkbox on your addon's settings page. That if checked then extra JS is injected to youtube that sets up it's own event listeners that are capable of reacting to these shortcuts.
Edit tnx for updating. Updated my rating also from 4 to 5.Developer response

- Add Shortcuts for mouse
- Add option to enable/disable fixed shortcuts
Add Zoom, Move, Reset with mouse
Using the shift key, ctrl key is not suitable, there will be other problems.
You can adjust the speed in the options. - Rated 5 out of 5by woynert, 9 months agoEdit 2:
Disabling Fixed Shortcuts in preferences didn't work, however deleting shortcuts in Manage Extension Shortcuts worked instantly thanks!
Edit:
Sorry I put the text between mayor than and less than signs '<' '>' and for some reason it didn't show up. Yes it says `Left or Right arrow`.
The issue occurs on the firefox search bar.
The issue is still present, and I can reliably reproduce it. When I have the plugin installed even with all shortcuts disabled in preferences (see screenshot https://imgur.com/a/bfmnJsZ ) the Ctrl+Shit+Arrow stops working on the firefox search bar.
Original:
Please make an option to disable all keyboard shortcuts, I only use this addon sparingly and I use the buttons so I don't need the keyboard shortcuts. Great addon otherwise.
You see, when I have this addon turned ON, the firefox shortcut Ctrl+Shit+(Left or Right arrow) stops working on the search bar. This shortcut natively allows for selecting text by words. With this addon ON it stops working and it's really annoying.
I saw some options regarding shortcuts in the preferences but the issue persists even disabling all of them.
I'll give 5 starts once this is fixed.Developer response

I just now understand your problem.
Must delete or change shortcuts in Manage Extension Shortcuts.

Updated to v5.5.1
- Add Shortcuts for mouse
- Add option to enable/disable fixed shortcuts
In option > enable shortcuts for > try to disable Fixed Shortcuts
If it doesn't work, try disable everything again.
Finally, if it still doesn't work. Try deleting in Manage Extension Shortcuts too
Reply to me again if there is still a problem. - Rated 5 out of 5by Octo, 10 months ago
- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 17141374, a year agoWorks great, but I wish there was a way to have the zoom level be globally set to ALL YouTube videos at ALL times.

I can think of only 2 problems.
1. If the crop function has a problem There may be black borders on both the right and left. It doesn't happen on just one side.
2. In my code, I have added css for the video player to have a black background. which is normally not seen. If you see a black border on the right side, it means that your video player is larger than the content. Which I don't know why.
You can embed additional css into the youtube website, for example using the stylus addon to solve this problem (But you have to disable it when watching vertical video).
Try entering this code
.html5-video-container > video {
width: 100% !important;
}

Thank you, entering this code into the Stylus add-on for the YouTube website does indeed work with removing the sharp black line on the side (or sides) of the video player.
Like you said - the code does ruin the aspect ratio of vertical videos by cropping a lot of the image off screen, so the code has to be disabled for vertical videos to be displayed correctly but this is a small price to pay.
I know you explained why but I do still wish that some day you would reconsider and have an option where the actual 'zoom' level can be globally set to a default figure (whatever the user wants that figure to be) for ALL YouTube videos.
To be honest I'd still prefer to have ALL my YouTube videos play with a zoom level at: 1.01 which would both address the sharp black line issue with the video player, and also keep vertical videos in tact as well, but again thank you for this add-on and for your help.Developer response

What do you mean? Every video starts with settings for zoom at the beginning? Or what is desired is to have the default setting to automatically use zoom as previously stored.
But what I will say is that not every video needs to have the same zoom settings, and not every video needs zoom. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 18103031, a year agoEDIT: In the v5.4.8 version ITS FIXED Thank you very much this addon is amazing!
I've watched your video i know why its not working for you.. you have to be in "Theater mode" not "Default view" shortcut: (t)
try again in Theater mode and it will not play (and when you load the page wait like 5 sec before going Fullscreen cuz sometimes if you do it too fast the video will start playing)
If it works now great, now install your Addon and do the exact same thing it will always play the video when you go FullscreenDeveloper response

- Fix autoplay problem
I'll inform you, this one can't be fixed.
In theater mode, there is a problem when pressing rotate for the first time that it doesn't fit properly (while in default view / no problem in fullscreen) which is caused by the width and height of the image in theater mode. - Rated 5 out of 5by Garamda, a year ago

I've tried changing settings but still can't find the cause.
So, I may use shortcuts instead temporary.
Thanks for the help.

If I signed out my google account, the zoom menu will pop out.
I have several google accounts.
When I sign in the specific account, menu is not appearing, but shortcuts work.
Other accounts can work normally with menu.

"Zoom" is not working since few days ago, and the "rotate" still works.
I clicked the "zoom" button and the control panel is not appearing.
I install "Rotate Youtube Video" only, no other addons.
The Firefox is newest version 110.0.1 (64bit).Developer response

Ok, how is that account different from the others? I tried switching my google account but it didn't have a problem. Try changing the language or changing the theme, no problem.
I don't know what the cause is, I can't fix it. If you know the cause then please reply me.

I've checked both Windows and Mac in the latest version (v110.0.1), but it doesn't have a problem when pressing the zoom button and the menu doesn't pop up.
Please remove this add-on and install it in the latest version (Upload Today v5.4.7)
*** Not update. Remove it > Close Firefox > Reopen Firefox and install the add-on ***
I don't know what caused it. But I reworked the code sequence of the zoom function. Hope it solves your problem. If the menu still doesn't pop up Try using shortcuts instead.

HI. i have checked. It still works normally.
Can you try disabling all addons to just this one? If it works, it means some of your addons are in conflict with this one.
If it works then please reply me. I want to know which addon it is so I can check and fix it.
If not, what version of firefox are you using?
Previously, there were people who had problems with this zoom function as well because they were using Firefox Nightly, some versions that had problems. - Rated 2 out of 5by kathy2yu, 2 years agoI'm not sure why the mirror function nor the 180 rotate function doesn't work for me. All it shows is a black screen. All the other rotations and buttons work. Since the creator seems very responsive I'm hoping they can fix this (sorry it's a bad review I don't know where else to contact). Thank you!

- Rated 4 out of 5by Ap11o, 2 years agoI have deleted my review from last week as the issue raised was clearly NOT due to the add on, and the failure of the zoom function to operate was down to Firefox/Nightly.
Version 105.0a1 (2022-07-26) (64-bit) was installed this morning, and ALL functions of the add on were restored - a number of lesser anomalies were fixed too. I changed nothing else.
I also updated from the roll back option, and have full functionality including all the new options added up to 5.3.9. - Rated 5 out of 5by ЯромиR, 2 years agoIt is very nice to see and know that author actively takes care about all issues and responses to users reported problems.
