by DavideRossi, 6 years agoSo far so good, it does what it says. But I'm not going to use it. What I'd like to see:
1. Create a session without closing the current window.
2. The ability to associate a window to a session with live tracking. So I can create a "news" session containing all the tabs of the current window, if I navigate in a tab or I open or close a tab the session is updated. I can now close the window at any time and later restore my "news" window and find all my tabs as they where when I closed the window. This way I can create different sessions/windows like "work", "social media", "sports", "news" and so on.

- Rated 2 out of 5by piyush1104, 4 years agoHi Developer, It is not saving any windows. Is this extension opensource? I don't want to start from scratch. If you can share the code, I will try to solve the problem and update the code.

- Rated 3 out of 5by Nisarg Shah, 7 years agoReally useful add-on but seems to have a glitch. Sometimes after I save my window I cannot recover the window. Sometimes clicking on the session's name does not produce any response and my window is pretty much lost forever. The session name is still there but I cannot do anything with it

posted 7 years agoProbably the new update will solve this issue, it will be out soon. I'm used Chrome for a while and updated it there but now I'm back on Firefox so we will see.
Just for your information: I've tried to reproduce the issue on 4 Windows installation of my friends and I could reproduce the problem on one PC so I'm on the track. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13468127, 7 years agoI can't find any way to tell it to save the tabs in a window. It's possible that it will save all the tabs when I close the window, but I'm not willing to close a window just to test that out, lest I lose all my tabs.

- Rated 3 out of 5by Mark Peter Mansell, 7 years agoWorks nicely by saving but I would like to make closing the window optional. There are times when one might want to snap-shop a window and keep working. Also, it would be nice to make a saved window persistent, if necessary, instead of being lost when opened.
Developer response
posted 7 years agoThanks for your response, may do it in the next release I just restarted the development of the addon so you may see your required feature soon.
By the way, your requests are not so clear how you want it done so if you could tell me in more details that would be great.
Actually I don't know why don't you use bookmarks to achieve your 2nd request.
This extension aims to be a tool that free up your memory and desktop by closing and saving tabs when you don't use them.
I developed this addon to get rid of 100+ tabs when I need to work on different projects or just want to browse after work. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13084118, 7 years agoThis extension does exactly what it says: it saves your windows. Too bad though that *loading* your saved sessions doesn't work. Also, it closes all your tabs immediately without a warning.
