- Rated 1 out of 5by ph, 2 years agoI hate this version of the extension, I can't record my screen without signing in? I can't change the video thumbnail. My video is automatically uploaded, I don't have the option to only save it locally. On the Awesome Screenshots website it shows other options available, like recording one tab only, or one window, but in Firefox and with Windows 10 Pro, I only have the option to record the Awesome Screenshot tab or the ENTIRE screen. This extension forces me to share information with Awesome Screenshot just to do something simple and basic with the extension. I'm guessing you then sell my information and make a lot of money doing it AT THE EXPENSE OF MY PRIVACY!

12-21-24: want to waste a lot of time trying to get this pos addon to properly select the portion of the image you want saved? you added the right one then. Crowded clumsey hard to use interface. Bogs down or freezes you computer with no warning on longer pages.
9-9-24: Like wasting a lot of 1trng to get this addon to select the portion you marked? Works about half the time. Slow as hell and can cause system freezup waiting. THere are no good screenshot pgms for mozilla, not atl least free
5-19-24 More junk addons which Mozilla "recommends" mainly because they cannot get any GOOD programmers to code them. Waste a ton of time trying to get your selected capture to actually select what you selected. More script kiddies posing as programmers putting their crap apps online. Trouble is Mozilla doesn't HAVE a good screen capture addon, they all suck.
4-25-24: Like most addon screensavers this one sucks too. On popular gab.com it cannot select portions of the page and instead combines other crap on the page you never selected. No reliable feedback that is answered, so the authors don't give a damn. It's junky, flakey and works about 40% of the time. Also freezed your machine not too infrequently. Junkware.
12-28-23: Clips the selected screen shot and then ads;];a garbage blank page with it that you have to manually edit out to get what you actually selected.
Cannot deal with long pages and SLOWWWS to a crawl, time for your coffee break, no warning or way to escape sometimes requiring reboot. Can't deal with low memory conditions. Works ok on small pages and about 80% of the time.
8-7-23 they changed the addon, it's no longer any good and they are trying to sell you something instead of working like it used to. had to switch to gofullpage
5-2-23: Same fault as all the other total screen saver addons-does not work with long pages on tor browsers, had to remove it. Their GUI is crowded and confusing and they are trying to sell you something too. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 17872865, 2 years ago

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13902274, 3 years agoIt no longer captures any part of my screen. Even signing up for an account in an attempt to activate the app is pointless. Easiest fix - UNINSTALL but don't forget to delete your ASSC account.

- Rated 1 out of 5by IcyMint, 3 years agoThe screenshot feature works fine but the screen record feature is broken, it records the screen for 7 seconds and then it just stops and shows a still screen like I trimmed the rest and added a image to replace it. I expected a better screen recorder. If you want a extension for screenshot then just use the default Firefox screenshot feature, it's better than this extension. High price, broken features.
- Rated 1 out of 5by franc, 3 years agoThis Add-On needs an account to work. And then it is only 5 minutes recording, which is a joke.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Isa, 3 years agoFree account has a 5 min restriction for video screen recording. I was ok about paying a fee if it was a good service. I wanted to make a try before engagement, to see if it was working well. But even with free account, i am obliged to create account. Then, i discovered that My videos are on Their cloud... I can't download them directly to My computer...? So i decided to delete.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Bigfoot, 3 years agoWhy and how have we gotten to the point that we dont own anything, we allow ourselves to pay a subscription to junk. remember when we bought a PC game (or mac for those other folks ;), for about $40 and aside from giving your sxchool friends a copy it then belonged to 'us', the whole game wihtout a dollar package here and a monthly payment there. I can just take a picture of my screen with my phjone or my actual camera rather then allow myself to be another reason for this madness to continue. sorry for my rant im just fed up with the greed
- Rated 1 out of 5by justdave, 3 years agoIt works well as a screen capture. However the record function requires you to create account and save to their cloud. I don't want to save to someones cloud I want to save to computer to a folder I decide on. I'm not into sharing personal info with companies.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 16380553, 3 years agoAnother "kind of free" thing that you MUST create an account for, MUST log in to use, MUST put up with pesterware and generally isn't really a handy little add-on so much as a semi crippled app which needs you to use their own site - cannot use remotely / offline etc .
Not a good app and capture area seems to have bugs.
