- Rated 4 out of 5by Jacob, 2 years agoIt's pretty good. Sometimes, it doesn't fill in all of the forms. Also, it doesn't have all the skills I'm looking for.

Absolute game changer.
The application tracking and the suggested jobs to apply to are AMAZING. I have very specific jobs I want to apply to (i.e. using a certain programming language) and this has been incredibly helpful.
While it doesn't successfully fill out certain websites, it still fills out many of the most common forms.
Couple of suggestions:
1. Please give the option to have more than 750 chars for the experience section. I would suggest adding a form to the experience section that forces the user to write in bullet points. I have some experience on my resume that has several bullet points and definitely takes up more than 750 chars.
2. Whenever certain questions come up in a job application that Simplify doesn't parse (e.g. "Are you transgender?" or "Do you have security clearance", I would like to be able to add those custom questions to the parser, or be able to submit a request to have those questions added.
3. Simplify doesn't seem to perform well on those radio button questions (i.e. questions where you have to click a radio button to answer the question, commonly for the ethnicity/veteran/disability questions)
4. I put South Asian in the Simplify application but sometimes it will check the East Asian box in the ethnicity form.
5. Basically, I would like the option to be able to report parser problems to Simplify when they occur.
These are all mostly tiny issues BUT DO NOT LET THESE TINY THINGS DETER YOU FROM USING THIS AMAZING EXTENSION. I HAVE ONLY USED THIS EXTENSION FOR 20 MINUTES AND ITS BEEN INCREDIBLE. KEEP WORKING HARD GUYS THIS IS GREAT. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 16464429, 2 years agoMakes applying less of a nightmare. Doesn't work 100% of the time, or even 100% correctly, so it's always worth going through the fields to make sure that it filled in everything.
But despite that, I can't even imagine not having this extension now. Absolute game changer. - Rated 5 out of 5by T L, 2 years agoI wished I discovered this extension over a year ago. But here I am interviewing some more right now and wished someone told me about this extension! I'm hoping this tool gets spread out around reddit, youtube, etc.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Lucas, 2 years agoThis add-on has been just completely ridiculous in terms of how much time it has saved me. Job application is such a repetitive process, so glad to have found this. The tracker is also a nice feature. It's not perfect, but it's orders of magnitude more efficient using it than not. Highly recommend!
- Rated 3 out of 5by Mattwmaster58, 2 years agoOften quite brittle, especially on workday jobs. Misses adding all experience, causes internal page errors, etc. The inconsistent behaviour means you really have to watch it, but I would say it's still a net positive, just a bit annoying to use.
Update 2023-09-08: seems to refresh all browser tabs every 15-30 minutes. Since disabling the extension, I have not had this issue.Developer response

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 15186382, 2 years agoDespite saying otherwise, it (in my case at least) does not actually support docx files. IT gives me an error every time I do. Furthermore, it won't let me change my resume either. It acknowledges that I tried, as evidenced by a change in the timestamp of last upload, but every time I check it out, it is always showing my very first one uploaded, even though I have changed it since then. The autofill is nice, it just would be even nicer if I didn't have to manually reupload my resume to every application because Simplify won't let me change it.
Edit 8/30/2022: they added a resume viewer since I first wrote this so that we can compare what they have stored to what we actually have. It helps, credit where credit is due, but it is still not letting me upload docx files despite being told that those are allowed. The support team is nice and willing to help, which is nice to see.Developer response

- Rated 5 out of 5by Grace Hu, 3 years agoThis extension has literally saved me hours when I was applying to internships this cycle. I don't usually write reviews for extensions but Simplify is probably the single most useful app I've used when searching for a job. It works on 90% of the jobs I've encountered and fills in all the repetitive information that I normally had to re-enter manually. The application tracking feature is also a game changer, I used to use a Google Spreadsheet to store all the places I was applying to. I don't know what more you need to hear as a user; get this dang extension!!
- Rated 4 out of 5by matetoes, 3 years agoIt works great but there are quite a few application forms it doesn’t support and doesn’t fill out education (in my experience) on workday forms. Also, would be nice if there was a way to manually add a company to the application tracking list (in case it was from an application form that wasn’t supported). However, when it does work and it’s that moment when it fills in all the experience sections automatically? *chef’s kiss* amazing
