- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13072522, 7 years agowas working great. But suddenly after the update, all my styles are deleted and new styles get deleted as soon as I install them.
I am currently on FF Nightly on windows and I am not using any "smart" apps like CCleaner that purge extension's storage.
Edit: Not sure what was the actual problem, but after uninstalling and reinstalling the addon, everything seemed to work fine. Reminder: always backup the styles.Developer response
posted 7 years agoStylus can't remove all styles. There's simply no such code. Nothing related to style management was added recently.
AFAIK there's nothing in Stylus that could possibly trigger this kind of bug in FF Nightly. I've seen many nonsensical bugs in FF Nightly over the last year so that must be just another one.
The problem seems specific to this build of FF Nightly, see http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=3040021 - Rated 3 out of 5by vertigo, 7 years agoNeed to be able to easily make rules for sites. For example, I can't set it to use a theme globally but then disable that theme and/or use another one on specific sites. I've yet to find a theme that looks good everywhere, so the ability to customize per domain, and even per page, is a necessity.

For example, use a picture placed in the /chrome/ folder as a background
Got it, thank you.Developer response
posted 7 years agoWebExtensions can't access arbitrary local files. You can use an online converter like dataurl.net to get a standard CSS data URL out of your picture. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13443298, 7 years agoworks perfectly right from the start and privacy doesn't seem to be an issue

posted 7 years agoStylus can't "disappear" styles. It's either a bug in the browser or your user profile is damaged. Also make sure you're not using "smart" apps like CCleaner which may delete the style storage.
P.S. If you've switched Firefox into a permanent private mode, Firefox erases the previously used style storage, it's a known bug in Firefox. Might be fixed in Nightly, though. - Rated 5 out of 5by hyperfekt, 7 years agoWorks great, and supports live reload for easily developing in a different editor.

- Rated 5 out of 5by l0o0, 7 years agoNice tool. Is it possible to add customize javascript code to stylus?
Developer response
posted 7 years agoStylus is CSS-only. There are other extensions that allow adding both CSS and JavaScript. - Rated 4 out of 5by murko, 7 years agoLove it. Used to Stylish over the years and it's a small difference in GUI but it works fine, and probably will work even better after a while.

posted 7 years agoThat's a problem with Basilisk, not with Stylus.
Stylus doesn't have any code that prevents it from being uninstalled.- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13824800, 7 years agoPRIVACY CONCERN: Why does the latest update require access to your data for openusercss.com and openusercss.org?
Great functionality otherwise.Developer response
posted 7 years agoStylus doesn't access any data on any site. The new content script for openusercss will simply facilitate installation and updating of usercss styles from that site.
The content script tells the site the name of the extension (Stylus) and whether the style (displayed on the site page) is installed so the site displays the extension name and "Install" or "Update" on its action button.
The fact that Firefox displays this warning is just another example of how buggy WebExtensions implementation is in FF. It's really sad and disgusting. The thing is, Stylus has always had access to all sites via its content script that runs on all URLs - this is a necessary requirement to apply styling - so adding another content script makes no actual difference.
