by Rugball, 5 years agoGreat features, great customisations !
Finally a good replacement for the "smartest search" app ; I was orphan when it was over years ago...
The only thing, may be, is that it's not possible to custom the icon itself (to choose an image from an url) ; for example, I've got 2 search requests for Google Maps and the second one has got the icon of Google Search not Google Maps. May be tunable with the option "Use custom CSS formatting (experimental)" ?

Usually you just have to change the "icon URL" to the image that you want. Did changing the icon URL not work? For example, you can use this for the new Google Maps logo:
https://www.google.com/images/branding/product/ico/maps15_bnuw3a_32dp.ico
By default SSS uses the faviconkit website, and they seem to have a Google Maps icon that is the same as the main Google one.
Please let me know if something else is wrong via email or the Github issues page. (Unfortunately I may not be notified of updates to these reviews.)

Devrait proposer une option d'intégration avec Translate Web Page.

- Rated 5 out of 5by elpadre, 2 months agohighly customisable to my liking. requires bit of googleing to figure out what the actual search string for a website is.
but it took me 10 minutes or so and now i have it compact as i wish, and with 2 custom search engines i prefer.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Чувак, 2 months agoДополнение просто супер. Экономит кучу времени и действий. Можно добавить много чего, искать на маркете, на озоне или вб, в яндекс или гугл картинках, копировать выделенное в буфер обмена. Очень рад что когда-то установил это дополнение.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Melchor Aurelio Aguirre Salas, 4 months agoIt would be good if the search engine could be chosen according to the user's preference. In my case, I like to do searches in Perplexity. The situation would be the following. first select a text, second modify or add more information for your query and third just press enter to open the search engine which in my case is perplexity, it would also be good if the text prompt was not reduced when eliminating search engines
