- Rated 5 out of 5by Johann, 4 years agoAs a guy with a lot of tabs I found your Addon and its great for me to sort my tabs.
My problem: It is hard to find the correct window where to move my tab to.
Why: the name of the window where to move is depending of actual opend tab in each window - so the name is changing when I leaving window different actual tab.
I have about 5, 6 or more open windows with each of about 10 to 20 tabs. When trying to move a tab, I never know where to move to.
It would be nice to give a name or you name each window automatically (e.g. with the name of the top left tab of each window, not of the current tab used) OR name it with window1 - window2 - and so on OR the order should correlate with the order in the tackbar.
Thanks for answer if you plan a solution or not.Developer response
posted 4 years agoUsing the leftmost tab seems much more confusing to me since it doesn't correspond to the window titles and I'm not very happy to add custom window tracking and labeling code which would probably be bigger than the whole current codebase.
BUT - although the Webextension API makes no guarantees - Firefox seems to reliably return the list of windows in the order they were opened. Maybe you can configure your desktop to use the same sorting order. - Rated 5 out of 5by kjbaumga, 4 years agoThis is the only Tab Moving add-on I found that lets you move multiple tabs in one operation (CTRL-click on a first tab to select, then CTRL-shift-click to end selection, then use the extension). Great for people like me who use lots of tabs. Moving one tab at a time is really tedious. So you can split and merge windows with this.

- Rated 3 out of 5by Keegan Witt, 5 years agoThis is the most convenient way to move tabs between windows of any addon I've found so far. But I've been having trouble where the list of windows to move it to includes more options than there are actual windows. I'm not sure under what conditions, but appears to include windows that no longer exist.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 15220674, 5 years agoI wanted a tab mover that would work with Tree Style Tabs. This addon successfully moves the tab and all of its child tabs! Easy peasy. Thank you!
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13480407, 5 years agoDoes exactly what it says, nothing more, nothing less. Almost perfect. One thing though I'd want is to have a list of windows right in the first level of (inception) submenu. I think there's no need in this nesting - you can show one menu if current tab is incognito and the other if it isn't (with a hint as a grayed out first menu item)

- Rated 5 out of 5by ben-agaric, 6 years agoThis extension is wonderful! Use it with https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/window-titler/ and it takes care of all your tab organization needs without the bugs all the tab group modules seem to have.

- Rated 4 out of 5by AndyL964, 6 years agoThe add-on works great, and even supports Firefox's multiselect feature. To make it even more convenient to use though, I think it'd be better to have the tabs located just above the options, rather than have them in another submenu. An option to bring focus to the window that the tab was moved to would also be very nice.
- Rated 4 out of 5by prempatel8, 6 years agoCan only move one tab at a time which is quite useless. Needs a option to move multiple tabs between windows.

posted 6 years agoThis depends on browser support. Firefox 62.0 or later allow highlighting multiple tabs if the preference browser.tabs.multiselect is manually enabled and with Tab Mover 7 it is now possible to move the tabs of a highlighted group. - Rated 4 out of 5by grahamperrin, 6 years agoI often want to move all tabs in a window, to a different window. Please, might this become a feature?

PS thanks for the reply.
I'm with Waterfox Classic, Tab Mover 6 and legacy extensions for the foreseeable future.Developer response
posted 6 years agoYes, with Tab Mover 7 and Firefox 62.0 or later this is now possible, see my other reply above. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12687184, 7 years agoI'd been looking for something like this for a while! Thank you!
Send tab is great for sending to other devices but Tab Mover is perfect for moving between windows. Can't do without it now! - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13466023, 7 years agoReally nice, fantastic tool when I categorize my tabs in windows. Really helps not to have to have multiple windows open at the same time.
