- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 17290971, 2 years agoThis addon provides more options than other addons. Other addons like "Rename tab title" were not useful for me because they fail if just a small part of the URL changes (for example: you have opened a price comparison site and add another product).
With this one, I can choose "Set the name for this tab" and the name stays even if some part of the URL has changed. - Rated 5 out of 5by Chen-Lou, 3 years ago

Recently, I took it upon myself to review my extension accesses and I was disappointed to see this extension requires "Access to all website data".
I wish they would just use the tab title and not require this overarching permission. It may be a legacy thing - and I hope they change it - because I really do want to use it again. - Rated 5 out of 5by Martin Binder, 3 years agoPerfect for rewriting sites that have REST-URLs. Works great, easy to use.
- Rated 5 out of 5by christian, 3 years agothis extension does exactly what I want it to. only request would be to customize the shortcut for renaming tabs.
- Rated 5 out of 5by aptharsia, 3 years agoI use this with Image Picka to download images automatically with a custom page title. Such a time saver! Thank you!
- Rated 1 out of 5by foxcrawler, 3 years ago"Set for this tab" doesn't work on Facebook. lose tab title after some while
- Rated 2 out of 5by eco.voyageurs, 3 years agoNice try but it doesn't work for me. I want to rename tabs based on the complete URL when working in a backend website.
When using the "Only exact match" option with a tab like this:
https://website.com/application#View:PAGE1
I can rename the tab "Page 1" based on that URL - that works. But when I navigate from that tab to another page in the backend (ex. : https://website.com/application#View:PAGE2) the tab's name remains "Page 1" instead of changing its name to the new page's normal (not customized) title.
I would like the full URL to be taken into account so that the name of the tab dynamically changes as soon as the URL changes.
Thanks! - Rated 5 out of 5by Zodiiak, 3 years agoIt's easy to use and does what it's supposed to. I only wish that I could hide the context menu entry.
- Rated 5 out of 5by NJ, 3 years agoIt's has context menu option and can rename tab exactly what I want for 3 months ago! I like the context menu because of that I not really need thinking where I will put the extension button. I more like it to be hidden from the toolbar.
btw I'm from other extension that I accidently almost add it but I read a comment that say this extensions is great and I bealive it, so thx~ - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12702177, 3 years agoLets me retitle tabs. Does exactly what I need it to. No complaints.

- Rated 4 out of 5by Sor Targol, 3 years agoIt's very sad, but the extension does not allow set title "for this tab PERSISTENT ACROSS SESSIONS". In particular it is necessary to sign two different tabs with same url but different logic (for example 2 different mail containers). There is no way to specify site-specific information like domain or full url. Also missing is the ability to manually edit the already created url in the settings. Other than that, it's a handy and convenient extension.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Mark, 4 years agoThis works well once I figured out how to do a Regex to remove a specific annoying phrase that Amazon inserts at the beginning of every page Title. I don't like that because it messes up the default name of my bookmarks.
Here's the regex I used: /AmazonSmile: (.{1,45}).*/$1/
This removes the literal phrase "AmazonSmile: " from the beginning of any page title on smile.amazon.com. It removes the first phrase and then inserts the rest of the title but only up to 45 characters in length. If the original title is longer, it truncates the rest. I found a Regex testing site that helped me figure this out. https://regex101.com/r/vMzP9d/6 - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 12356949, 4 years agoThe title is persistent when I restard Firefox, but it is NON PERSISTENT when I click on the tabs (which are now unloaded) : the tab reloads with it's original name, not the title i have modified before. Is there a way to fix this ? Thank!
If this can be fixed, then it's a great add-on :) - Rated 4 out of 5by DanRioja, 4 years agoPlease add the option to remove from the right click menu... Other than that, perfect.
- Rated 3 out of 5by viking, 4 years agoGreat Add-on, but it lacks a crucial feature: I am going to the same URL but in different containers, and I need to be able to (permanently) ReTitle them differently.
I posted an issue about this on GitHub, but no response. Has development stopped?
