by Firefox user 13459908, 7 years agoPretty great, but I noticed two bugs. You can't seem to create new tab sessions when using the sidebar. Entering a name in the textbox and pushing the "+" button just doesn't seem to do anything, but only in the sidebar interface, works fine from the toolbar. Secondly if you move the toolbar Tabber button into the Overflow Menu, when you click on it in the Overflow Menu, the Tabber interface is too wide for the Overflow menu.

- Rated 1 out of 5by KT, 6 years agoNot so easy to use. Options in screenshot not showing up for me. Just shows Tabber in left side and says Name my tabs but doesn't save.
- Rated 3 out of 5by Juanka Hula, 7 years agoThere is a bug when adding tabs also there popup UI makes it hard to mange. A new tab UI would be better to be able to see all at once comfortably.
Is the developer still working on this???
Hasn't been updated in 7+ months - Rated 3 out of 5by Oliv, 7 years agoPros :
- do the minimal job : save window tabs, add/delete tabs to groups/sets of tabs
Cons :
- doesn't automatically add new tabs to (or delete closed tabs from) a current/active group
- switching group open a new window -> if you switch groups 5 times between 3 different groups, you'll have 6 open windows (with duplicate ones)
- to add any open tab to any group, it is a 5-clicks operation (e.g. add the current tab to a group)
- on the "group view", one can expand the group to see the tabs, which is good, but the tabs are displayed with their URL, when tab name would be preferred
- cannot directly choose the tab you want to go when you switch group
- options that I didn't understand/see the purpose (Replace current Tabs and Active Compact Mode) as they seem to do nothing - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13523222, 7 years agoVery promising! But the order of the tabs is revers!
When you go Right+Clicking on a Bookmarks folder, Firefox 57 opens the tabs and the *default* order is as following: the tabs are arranged left to right, same order as the bookmarks in the folder from top to bottom (top bookmark is leftmost tab just opened; bottom bookmark in that folder is the rightmost tab opened).
Unfortunately your extension causes a reverse arrangement! Not only in your extension but also in the Bookmarks folder when you open a Bookmarks folder as "Open all in tabs". The tabs are arranged right to left (top bookmark is rightmost).
Could you please reverse the order? - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13515034, 7 years agoThis is great replace for tab group. Very Thx
if it's like a tab group it's 5 stars - Rated 3 out of 5by Bruce.Azevedo, 7 years agoI realy like the concept of this Add-On but, at this time, it doesn't allow me to add tabs to groups nor replace with current tabs. Also, if you could add bulk selection and handling of tabs it would be much more effective than, per example, having to delete every single tab.
It's a 5 star addon with those fixes! ;)Developer response

I see what you are talking about, I'll try to fix those bugs as soon as possible !
Concerning the group delete, it might become a new feature in a future release. - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13019513, 7 years ago"replace with currently opened tabs" does not work

Saving any opened tab in the group ?- Rated 5 out of 5by auwsmit, 7 years agoThis is exactly what I was looking for! I like to have each window of tabs dedicated to a theme, like programming or entertainment or a specific project I'm working on.
It's great to be able to quickly save all tabs of the current window, reopen them in a new window whenever I want, and then replace the old saved tabs with my new tabs when I'm done. - Rated 5 out of 5by Mnh0419, 7 years agoThanks for quick updates. I have one more suggestion concerning UI design. Currently, the tab groups show web address, which doesn't provide much information on individual tabs. Instead, I think the web address should be replaced by titles. In this way, it's easier to identify and delete a particular tab in a tab group.

posted 7 years agoI'm working on adding titles but I will first change a large part of the source code to ready tabber for next improvements - Rated 3 out of 5by CanIregisterThisTime, 7 years agoI hit a button and it just wiped out all the tabs I already had open. Looking further it's apparently designed to do that. Why? Why would anyone want that?
Reply to developer: It's okay. I wasn't doing anything important. Thankfully it's the weekend.
I would suggest users get the Chrome Store Foxified extension and install a copy of OneTab. OneTab is available as a Firefox addon but it's not up to date. Chrome Store Foxified is legacy, but you can disable or remove it after you get OneTab converted and signed. Hopefully OneTab's developers will port over their Chrome version because it works perfectly in Firefox.Developer response
posted 7 years agoEDIT : Replacing opened tabs with the group you are opening is a feature that is disabled by default. You have to enable it in Tabber's settings and can disable it at any time.

I think you are talking about the button that replaces your group with the tabs that are currently opened.
I'm sorry about this, I agree that it's not clear.
The button was aimed to allow you to quickly replace a group without erasing it then recreating it.
I will improve the behaviour of the button in the next release and make it more clear.
Do not hesitate to suggest any replacement in a edited comment. - Rated 5 out of 5by pno, 7 years agoCette extension est très utile et bien conçue.
posted 7 years agoContent que l’extension plaise :)
Les confirmations de suppression sont prêtes à arriver, le temps que Mozilla valide la mise à jour pour le public !
EDIT: c'est dispo ! - Rated 5 out of 5by 玄清介, 7 years agoI have a portable firefox version, when I open it on another PC, the settings of Tabber is empty.
I wanna know which file the settings are stored, thx
PS:
Thx, found the file.Developer response
posted 7 years agoI'm working on a way to export data and import it in tabber for the next version - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13278775, 7 years agoI am very happy with this extension. It fits well for my habit of keeping a number of windows, with several tabs, concerning different topics, open. I previously used tree-style tabs, but this does the job more efficiently and very reliably. Great stuff.
There are two feature I find myself missing: "Overriding" the currently open window, the one I click the extension's button, with a tab group as well the reverse. I regularly delete a group only to create a new one with the same name. Doing it with one click would be awesome.Developer response

Good ideas by the way, I'll try to add them soon, stay tuned ! - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13270795, 7 years agoLike it so far. Could be more compact and customizable.

Compact mode is a good idea, I will add it ! - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13080438, 7 years agoIt would be great if this addon allow me to select which container to open with.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12698049, 7 years agoSeems very promising, I still have to figure the perfect way to integrate in my workflow out of the many ways this add-on can be used. Thanks a lot!!!
