- Rated 4 out of 5by Medievalman22, 4 years agoHuge improvement over the default player, excluding the odd theater preference. Videos load way faster, buffer less, and adds extra customization. Also, it solves the vanishing controls bug, which is why I used it initially. (EDIT: Doesn't solve the vanishing controls for VODs)
- Rated 4 out of 5by Yan, 4 years agoХорошее дополнение, уменьшает нагрузку на ЦП, удобное управление, но когда стример кидает рейд, то поток просто останавливается и не перекидывает на другой канал. Не хватает ссылок на описание, видео, расписание канала.

ive been using alternate twitch player between oct '20 and february '21 due to twitch overblowing their ad deployments. however over the past month ive switched back to the standard built in twitch player and ive been faced with, well a reasonable amount of ads really. and their video quality has improved drastically (better than alternate player quality in some cases). just recently theyve FINALLY aligned the theater mode player to have even top and bottom black bars (which has prompted my final conclusions here) so i must say that as much as i now fully recommend sticking to the original twitch player, this still has its use cases as being a very efficient player (5w on my laptop compared to a jumpy 6-9w with the built-in player) and as well being very responsive and less obtrusive. however with the lack of FFZ compression and the comparative quality of twitch's built-in player, i will use theirs for the foreseeable future.
thanks for the extension which saved me for some months from pulling my hair out. - Rated 4 out of 5by asd, 4 years ago

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 16589313, 4 years agoOnly thing that works to block all ads and purple screens on twitch right now. The volume is quieter than the default player for some reason, and the latency is a bit worse, but it's a small price to pay.
EDIT: Of course it stops working the day after I send this review. I assume twitch changed something but this extension is broken for me right now.
EDIT 2: Working again 2021/01/25. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13239242, 4 years agoGreat player with a lot of thought put into it, but one star ding for lack of pop-out video support via Firefox picture-in-picture. ( https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/about-picture-picture-firefox )
UPDATE: It seems raiding doesn't function correctly, when the twitch channel raids another channel it doesn't swap to that channel's video feed when the first one stops broadcasting. The chat does swap, however. - Rated 4 out of 5by None, 4 years agovery nice addon, way less cpu usage & ram when watching a stream ( twitch use WAY too much ) one little thing, it seems like a message "hiding ads" for 15sec made his appearance, and it totaly stop the stream, which is a bit annoying. ( ok for now its unusable saddly as its like stop every 10min for that "hiding ads" thing, no idea what is happening or the reason )

- Rated 4 out of 5by Vandor, 4 years agoUp until maybe the 25th or so, the player now gets ads when it previously did not. I assume it just needs an update, but otherwise a great player that I've been using for a while now.
- Rated 4 out of 5by outofpennies, 4 years agoGreat extension, only issue is the slight additional stream delay. Otherwise no problems
- Rated 4 out of 5by GKFC, 4 years agoOver the past week or so I've noticed FF tabs crashing a lot more. If I refresh the tab in question the stream will come back, but opening another stream in another tab doesn't seem to activate the addon again. I have to close FF entirely and restart for it to work properly. Which isn't ideal.
Edit: Thanks for the response. Does that bug also account for the addon saying that the "Broadcast ended" for streams that are actually live? Or it that something different.Developer response

https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1663998 - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 16272831, 5 years agoWonderful app. Fixes buffering issues I had when the chat goes wild, and the audio never becomes distorted. Very clean player. However, it's buggy. It crashes often if I leave it running when a stream ends.

https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1663998 - Rated 4 out of 5by dpell23_, 5 years agoI can't get my latency below 5-6 seconds even with the best settings available, while Normal Twitch Player has a 1 to 2 seconds delay in low latency mode.
Other than that, the extension is very good. Highly recommended if you have a low-end system because the CPU and RAM usage will be very low compared to normal Twitch Player. - Rated 4 out of 5by MDX, 5 years agoCertainly helps with CPU but I feel there's one thing missing, picture in picture support. Is this something that can be added?

https://support.mozilla.org/kb/about-picture-picture-firefox - Rated 4 out of 5by Dyxati, 5 years agoIt's pretty good and doesn't stutter or gets stuck on loading, but chat doesn't work it just says "Failed to load modules" since two months at least.
- Rated 4 out of 5by applephx, 5 years agoThis extension is amazing. Thank you!
Please note, the past couple days the extension has not been showing up at the top of the twitch page. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 14569974, 5 years agoWindows for Whispers don't open correctly, and the sidebar on the left for live channels and online friends doesn't appear. Other than that, this is a very helpful add-on; I can actually *watch* streams instead of getting a mere slideshow.
