- Rated 5 out of 5by Mav, 7 years agoBest add-on ever, takes some time to set-up but offers great control over everything. I also use uBlock Origin mostly because of the cosmetic filtering which isn't possible with uMatrix.

I'm not sure about data collecting though. This developer's uBlock is famous to make external connection in background. What about this one?Developer response

What is this nonsense? Stick to facts/evidences and stop spreading disinformation.
uMatrix and uBlock Origin connects only to download assets used (filter lists, hosts files), and you have full control over this. I know of no content blocker in the same class as uBlock Origin which do not need to regularly download filter lists for their proper functioning, so you have to be trolling to claim that I am "famous" for what is the expected behavior.

If you do not like it, just don't use the extension, and refrain from spreading disinformation. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13724417, 7 years ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by Phoenix_IV, 7 years agoPerfect if you want to have full control over your browser's queries, no data send to external servers.
Requires customization for most sites, worth it if you are already used to NoScript (I use this one now instead, allowing, by default, only 1st party content without scripts, which I enable manually). Once set up for your main sites not much of a hassle. Sometimes requires some experimenting to find out which content is actually required. Creates awareness. - Rated 5 out of 5by GregDT, 7 years ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13688567, 7 years agoEven though i have 56.0.2 installed it's still telling me that i'm using Firefox 50.0 and I need at least version 56.0a1, hence I can't install this addon.

You probably enabled "privacy.resistFingerprinting" in about:config.
