- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 17289459, 3 years agoSeems to work on Yahoo Finance where Firefox itself and other add-ons fail. You have to click the "Play Video" in the upper left of each video before playing. This appears to unlock the video to interact with as normal. I tested with cnet.com, they have videos that pop up as you scroll down the page. The "Play Video" icon did not show up, so every time I hit play, the video will play for about half a second then pause ... so it was never "unlocked". I would also like to see some settings to run only on blacklisted sites or all but whitelisted sights.
- Rated 2 out of 5by Jason, 3 years agoIt does work but also prevents some videos from playing entirely. Had to uninstall. Also, the permissions are way too intrusive and any future development appears abandoned.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Michael, 4 years agoUseless and unnecessary. The media autoplay block feature is already in Mozilla. I was hoping it could block auto-loading the videos such as in the news sites; they don't start playing but they auto load few seconds. This feature should be in the browser by default to save data.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Olamagato, 4 years agoBardzo dobrze mi działa.

- Rated 2 out of 5by Oeconomist, 4 years agoWhile I very much appreciate what this developer tried to do, this addon often strangles my browser, and seems to be unmaintained.
- Rated 4 out of 5by taja, 5 years agoBetter IMO than the two alternatives (Disable HTML5 autoplay & Disable AutoPlay), and more recently updated. But would be so much better if it had 1) a whitelist 2) a toolbar icon to toggle the extension on and off and 3) a more attractive or minimal 'Play video' icon. Add these and this will be perfect.
- Rated 3 out of 5by DonChino, 5 years agoALMOST THERE !!! You are almost there my friend; but Kudos because SO MANY other AutoPlay blockers are failing. This actually does work correctly on Mashable and other sites that somehow still AutoPlay. Meanwhile, it auto plays on YouTube when you click on a Video; which makes sense since you clicked a thumbnail to play it. What is missing? You do not block pre-loading or caching; so on Mashable it will STOP AUTOPLAY, but you can see that about 30 seconds of the video got buffered. This has to be blocked; because they are STILL loading "junk" in the background, so it is not just AutoPlay. Next, you really need to apply a gray, transparent layer or move that PLAY NOW icon to the center \ middle of the video thumbnail. I code and listen\watch videos; so I need to know when something is being autoplay blocked; so make it more obvious or visible. Almost there and I will re-test when fixed and up to FIVE stars if it continues to work. You also need to get Mozilla Approval for your Extension...
- Rated 5 out of 5by ander, 5 years agoIt works for me! Obnoxious auto-play videos now appear as still images with "PLAY VIDEO" buttons. Thanks a lot! :?)

- Rated 5 out of 5by Dewnan, 5 years agoI've tried other extensions like 'Disable HTML5 Autoplay' with 23,000 +, stops autoplay videos on news sites BUT breaks them...
This one, stops them and puts a 'Play Video' in top corner.. WORKS GREAT and I checked the code with 'Extension Source Viewer' and it is clean, no spyware in it.
Great Work Prorubono... bravo - Rated 5 out of 5by Adrian, 5 years agoSick of news.com.au auto play video stealing your bandwidth and ruining the experience, I HIGHLY recommend this extension stops them DEAD
- Rated 1 out of 5by adam, 5 years agoDoes nothing. There was no indication, such as any icons or context menu items to indicate it is installed.
