- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 18405692, 6 months agoThe functionality is good, but it never works the first time a video is opened. The tab always has to be refreshed once before it starts working.

posted 6 months agoThanks for the review. Unfortunately I wasn't able to reproduce the issue you described when I went to YouTube.
Sort of reminds me of how pressing Alt (and bringing up the application's menu) can sometimes block hotkeys though (fixable by clicking anywhere on the page and trying again). If you've freshly installed or enabled the add-on this (and most) add-ons won't run until the page is refreshed as well.
If those don't help, then I'll probably need more information to try and help you with your issue, like what website and what other add-ons or settings that might be different than default Firefox on Windows. You can email me with the Support email link and I'll be happy to help! - Rated 5 out of 5by WarriorOfLoght, 8 months ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 18157710, 9 months agoVery good incredibly handy when you want to zoom in on something. Even works on Netflix however obviously not meant for it, as resetting the video places the image in the bottom left corner leaving you with just the top right corner of the video visible.

posted 9 months agoThanks for the review and for letting me know about the Netflix support.
The next release will feature proper Netflix support although it may be some time before the next release. - Rated 5 out of 5by Nodosity, 10 months agoI had a problem with one site where my video could be in 1080p resolution, but it was compressed for some reason, and by chance I found this extension. Very easy and simple to use. Works perfectly with all the sites I use frequently. Would recommend to anyone having the same issues as me.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Minionblacke, 10 months agoAs of today 21st Jan 2024, the extension does not stick on its active hotkeys or stay active at all when it is not in use for some time. The one solution was to disable and then reenable the extension but it only worked once that way. After which it refuses to stay active.

posted 10 months agoHmm, very mysterious. I just tested the extension with the latest Firefox (121.0.1) on Win10, Win11, Linux Mint, and MacOS with a YouTube video and everything seemed to work.
While testing with a YouTube video (in a normal window, not private) you could try:
- Making sure the video is playing before using the hotkeys.
- Clicking on an open spot of the website before trying a hotkey.
- Resetting the hotkeys to Default or Alternative and try those hotkeys.
- Setting a custom hotkey and then trying it.
- Uninstalling the extension and reinstalling it. This will fully reset all settings.
- Disabling all other extensions in case one of them is interfering with this one.
If those don't help, I'll probably need more information to try and reproduce the problem like: video URL, OS, Firefox version, any custom settings, hotkey combinations, any other differences, etc. Feel free to email me in that case and I can help you get it working. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12935111, a year ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by John Wagner, a year agoLogged in just to leave this review! Does exactly what I need it to flawlessly, which is adjust 4:3 videos encoded in 16:9 back to 4:3. It would be amazing if this also worked on the Firefox pop out video player too! I'm not sure if that's even possible, but it would pretty much make this plug-in perfect for my use case. Thanks!

Sadly, yes, currently not possible with Firefox's built-in pop out player to my knowledge.
I may try my hand at making a separate extension that allows this on Chrome and mostly allows this for Firefox (with a window title-bar showing). Unfortunately it won't be perfect on YouTube because of all the extra queuing, mini players, custom playlists and such can't really be supported properly with the method I'm envisioning.
I'd love to learn more about this use case, like what websites you generally use for pop out and I assume on Windows? Feel free to email me if you feel like it :). - Rated 5 out of 5by Billy, 2 years agoWow an extension that literally just WORKS... how rare! Also, I'm getting the vibe that this was made by either a very small company or a sole developer.. either way, props! and thank you👍

Yup, solo dev over here. Certainly not an accident that it works as well as it does: attention to detail, a *lot* of testing and good feedback from users :).
As for tracking and general malicious add-ons, you can never be too cautious. Security and privacy are very important to me so I rarely run add-ons I haven't made myself.
That being said, I'll do everything in my power to safeguard the privacy and security of the users of my add-ons. The add-ons I've created were designed to be secure, minimal, concise, easily audited, never load external code, and free of obfuscation (packing).
You can probably get Mozilla to look over my code more thoroughly (I'm hoping especially for updates) if you recommend my add-on to be featured like it is in Chrome's Webstore.

(I'll probably do this myself as soon as I make a real internationalized website for this since I'm a bit of a perfectionist.)

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 15229254, 2 years agoNice addon. Did the job for me. I only wanted it for flipping live streams on Twitch where streamers show a mirror image of themselves instead of their actual image.
Aside from the toolbar, would be good to have an "Options" menu in Firefox's "Manage Extensions" page as well.Developer response
posted 2 years agoThanks for the review and I'm glad you're finding the extension useful. It's valuable for me to hear how people are using the extension.
Also, great suggestion! I'll link up the settings page to that Options menu in Manage Extensions in the next version. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13710616, 2 years ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by Goody_2-Shoes, 2 years agoZoom In/Out works perfectly on YouTube, Tubi and many other streaming sites. I have no use for the other functions so I can't comment. I hope the developer doesn't change anything too drastically because Video Transformer does just what I want and more.
