- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 16181994, 5 months agoImage information is ONLY available through menu clicking and then appears as a new popup window. Settings seem to have no bearing on this. False advertising.

posted 5 months agoNormally, you can right-click the image and then shift+click the menu item to overlay image info onto the image. Are there sites where that isn't working?
Currently, there is no obtain any information without first right-clicking the image. If it would be useful to automatically label some or all images, I could consider that as a new feature. Feel free to start a new request at https://github.com/jscher2000/View-Image-Info-Reborn-for-Firefox/issues with more information about how you want it to work. - Rated 5 out of 5by Dan, 2 years agoreply: AAaaah thanks, yesterday I accidentally clicked the services.sync.prefs.sync.browser.menu.showViewImageInfo variable instead and was disappointed that it didn't work. Works now, thanks!!!
previous: the perfect addon. Totally not understandable to me why Mozilla has removed this amazingly useful feature from Firefox.Developer response
posted 2 years agoHi Daniel, you can restore "View Image Info" to the right-click context menu by going into about:config and toggling browser.menu.showViewImageInfo to true. Then you can compare features and decide whether it's worth keeping the add-on. - Rated 5 out of 5by Diane, 2 years agoI'm still lovin' this add-on, to the point that I'm over admin blatently taking the menu item away. I've bookmarked this URL to get the add-on installed for any new computer in the future. Thank you, jscher2000. Please keep this add-on available!

- Rated 3 out of 5by alexg, 3 years agoWould be nice if the src links were clickable/middleclickable in the window popup to open image sources right away. I just takes too many clicks just to get to one image.
Ideally I'd want to open source image in 1-2 clicks after page has loaded; currently the fastest way takes 3 clicks on image -> scroll -> 3 clicks on url -> drag link into new tab.Developer response
posted 3 years agoThank you for this idea. For now, you could select the URL, right-click, and Open Link in New Tab or Open Link in New Window. (Usually Firefox offers those when the selected text is recognized as a valid URL.) - Rated 4 out of 5by Artyom, 3 years ago
- Rated 5 out of 5by rado84, 3 years agoI do miss the old function that Mozilla recently removed! This extension brings back the good old days. :)
I also sent you an e-mail with a suggestion-request. - Rated 5 out of 5by polyrus, 4 years ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by JPC, 4 years agoRemarkably handy, I also like the resize option for your pop-up window... thoughtful touch! I'm so used to checking the image size / scaled image size that I felt lost without this option. Thank you!
- Rated 5 out of 5by unclearthur, 4 years agoThanks for creating this; works even better than the original; was about to dump Firefox before your add-on appeared.
One very very minor qualm: the popup box is very large; for some reason I cannot select the resizing option. Windows 10.
Update: suggestion below for resizing the window worked perfectly, thanks.Developer response
posted 4 years agoThank you for your review.
You can't resize the popup window from the Options page (adding that requires fiddly little boxes) but you can do it from the popup. Click the double-headed arrow button at the upper right, select the lower option to use the current window size, then resize the window, then finally click Save. If the arrow button doesn't respond, make sure the extension updated to version 1.7.1 because there was a bug in version 1.7.0 that prevented it from showing the form correctly.
Update: In version 1.8, I added a note on the Options page explaining this. Thanks for mentioning it. - Rated 5 out of 5by WeLoveWP, 4 years agoThank you so much for making this addon. I really don't get why they disabled this. I must use it 20 times a day when getting image sizes and alt text. Otherwise I now have to use the inspector, which takes long to load and find quickly.
