I knew this required an account; I have VPN with socks5. Do NOT use instead of vpn: this is to change address in browser independently. The extension is not reliable. Use an external client to populate browser socks5 fields or ssl web proxy address. This might be their SSL WEB proxy given port 7070 option. Who knows?
BAD
(1) Frequently it complains authentication is incorrect. Repeated attempts with saved credentials eventually works.
(2)
connection is not one button simple. click the one button for the lotto of connecting.
(3)
disconnection is frequently poorly indicated. toolbar icon color does not always change and text on button not reliable
(4)
port selection is not remembered
(5)
there is no list of location data centers to avoid known-to-you providers like for me m247 peering.
(6)
appears to be oversold as single connecting testing on speedtest rarely exceeds 8 speeds. I have completed optimization on windows laptop and linux machines for openvpn throughput achieving near wireline for my Tier 1 providers. TorGuard is not remotely close to a Tier 1 provider.
(7)
function of adblock tickbox unclear. does this force dns resolution? no thanks. I will keep DoH in browser via NextDNS or Control D.
(8)
AMO screenshots suggest can pick between socks5 and ssl web. I cannot determine how.
(9)
there is no load-balanced option for USA only or east-USA only or west-USA only.
PRO:
* can separate web credentials from vpn credentials is user control panel at provider site.
(1)
torguard extension is better than nothing
(2)
sometimes it works
(3)
works with purchased dedicated ipv4 address
(4)

- Rated 1 out of 5by Shaman, 4 years agoThis is actually the first addon ever, that I login to leave a review on. In like years. It's pure shit, it's so buggy that I can no longer even sort the bugs from the solid parts, because it's a fucking mess! I can only login, that's it. Whatever I do goes syntax error and overloads that shit. I'm out.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 15272485, 4 years agoAfter the last update with a change in the interface, it does not work. It tries to connect for a long time, after which it gives a "Login failed!" error. Of course I am a registered user.

- Rated 4 out of 5by David Bryant, 4 years agoIt's easy to install and simple to operate. But it has an annoying habit of reverting to a connection via the UK when I stop and restart Firefox. That won't work for me, because a few sites I rely on will not accept connections from outside the U.S. And I *think* the Torguard plugin disconnects itself occasionally without warning me. But all in all, I'm very pleased. I use my internet connection for a lot of different purposes, and I only wish to be anonymous when I'm using a browser that accepts cookies.

- Rated 2 out of 5by Alex5000, 5 years agoIt continually resets the chosen server to UK despite the fact that I'm nowhere near there. Very annoying to have to manually change every time it reconnects and renders the experience impossible.
