- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13625297, 7 years agoThis is an excellent extension!!
*** To Other Reviewers*** The changes to functionality, including the tool bar and java are solely caused by Mozilla when they changed the extension API. Chris can not do anything about this until Mozilla updates the API. Send negative feedback to Mozilla.
To get back some of the functionality, switch to Chrome. - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13625041, 7 years ago

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13597743, 7 years agola última versión que se carga cuando se actualiza Firefox es pésima, era la mejor herramienta del universo y ahora la arruinaron. ¿Van a seguir así o la van a modificar?

posted 7 years agoAll of the changes in the extension were required by Firefox as they have switched to a new system for extensions. There is nothing I can do on my end to work around this unfortunately. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13596098, 7 years ago
- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13593668, 7 years agoVery useful module, I use it since years !! and now under Chrome to.
But with this new version, I mostly regret the "Disable" menu (Disable cache, referrer, proxy), "disable cache" was useful.
When disable cache will be back, I set the 5th star.
Oups! I see your answer about diable API in FF.. I hope FF will re-publish this API. - Rated 5 out of 5by Marc Geyskens, 7 years agoals student html5 en css vind ik de mogelijkheid om stijlebladen uit te schakelen schitterend, het biedt uitstekende foutzoek mogelijkheden, alleen de scherm afmeting aanpassing moet beter .

- Rated 5 out of 5by send2, 7 years agoHello, the Locale validation inquiry for CSS and HTML is not possible in the Firefox version 57.
The code is not conveyed somehow. In the Opera it functions.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Hi.Heux, 7 years agoI'm still on XP Pro (have Win7, just have to install it) so . . . am I missing something? Where is the TOOLBAR?? Is there a version for my old XP Firefox?
Developer response
posted 7 years agoThe new version of Firefox no longer allows extensions to create toolbars so Web Developer now has to be activated by clicking on the cog icon in the toolbar (you may need to customize the toolbar to add the icon):
http://share.chrispederick.com/0m9i2C/5mgo99rf - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13578070, 7 years agoIs there any way to restore the ability to copy the descendant selectors of a selected element on the page (CSS section)? I used this feature more than any other. I understand that many of the new limitations are imposed by the new API. But the Chrome version is also altered...

posted 7 years agoThis is something that needs rewriting as the way it was written no longer works in the new Firefox, but I hope to add it back in a future release. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13557292, 7 years ago
- Rated 1 out of 5by macca, 7 years agoEchoing everything others have said - no way I can carry on using this. Please bring back the old version... loved using it over the years - so friendly and easy, now it's impossible and no help at all!
Developer response
posted 7 years agoOlder versions of the extension are available here, but note that they are not supported and will not work in future versions of Firefox:

I cannot bring back the old version for Firefox 57 or later because Firefox required all extensions to be completely rewritten and older versions are completely non-functional. None of these changes were my decision. - Rated 1 out of 5by 4arter, 7 years agoPlease allow us to download older versions. I use FF for primary web development because of the great tools available. When FF updated I kept my version at 55 to keep my tools working. I neglected to set this extension to 'do not upgrade'. Now 2.01 on FF 55 crashes when I try to use VIEW CSS. I can't find a way to revert to an older version of this extension. It's a crippled version of what once was.

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/web-developer/versions/ - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13574361, 7 years agoThis has a lot of helpful features. The one that allows the developer to change the posts to gets in a form (and vice versa) are ones that I use ALL the time!
