by Mark Kubicki, 2 months agohate it (sorry ....sounded like a good idea)
- i'm certain that i must have clicked 'something' that caused me to go from 46 open tabs to 92tabs, and then 184tabs - each one reloading each time
- and yes (as seems to be the case with all of the workspace managers) each tab reloads every time you change work spaces -even if only for a brief moment -even if you change workspaces to quickly check on (1) tab, the ENTIRE workspace reloads
- and when it reloads the tabs, the well organized, and collapsible 'tree style tab' view ... gone! all of branches gone; all of the tabs move to one long list
- never did find where you easily accessed the full list of workspaces without going into the extensions manager...

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 12410409, 2 months agoThis add-on will try to reload all your freaking tabs when you switch between workspaces
I would say this is so dumb - Rated 1 out of 5by rediffusion, 5 months agoThis is no good when you have got 100500 tabs and using 2 windows
- Rated 1 out of 5by Hank Scorpio, 8 months agoInstalled fine and I was able to create tab groups, but when I tried to switch between them it would open the tabs from that group without closing the ones from the previously active group. Ended up with four copies of each tab after trying to go back and forth a few times.
I'm running FireFox 124.0.1 (64-bit) on Windows 11. - Rated 2 out of 5by gary, 9 months agoWorks just as I want it, but I want to know if it's possible to export the data or if there is somwhere the data is saved so that I can make a copy. Sometimes Firefox glitches out on me or I need to switch profiles and the Workspaces data is just gone, which gives me a scare. This would happen with the old version of this plugin where I was unable to retrieve any of the tabs I had saved.
IMPORTANT UPDATE. I realized how this loses all data. If you have multiple windows open, and you close the original window, it will overwrite EVERYTHING with the new window. Please be aware of this when using this addon. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 15916021, 9 months agoVery useful. I hope the plugin will update more in the future.

- Rated 4 out of 5by Blackwell, a year agoPlease, if possible, add this
Ability in the settings to select that tabs in other spaces do not fall asleep when switching to another space.
The ability to send to spaces from the context menu on the page.
Ability to choose icons and colors for spaces.
Auto backup so that tabs in spaces are not lost.
Thank you!Developer response
posted a year agoHey, Blackwell, Thanks for the review.
You can prevent tabs from closing in Workspaces+ by pinning them. Right-click on the tab and choose "Pin Tab" to keep them open. Note that Firefox hides the titles for pinned tabs, so I've added the "Tab Pinning Feature" to my TODO list.
To send a tab to a specific workspace, right-click on the tab, select "Send Tab to Workspace," and choose the desired workspace.
I'm including the "Workspace Decoration Feature" in my TODO list, allowing users to customize colors and add icons. However, I need to assess whether attaching icons would result in increased overhead.
Currently, separate windows have separate workspaces, leading to accidental tab loss. I'm actively working on a fix to manage separate windows within a single workspace. Once implemented, I believe the need for backups won't be necessary.
Thank you for your valuable suggestions!
