- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 12688562, 8 years agoI like X-Notifier. That's why I am letting you know that this new update does not work. It does not save my emails, passwords - nothing. In the status bar the icon disappeared as well. I have a hunch; the real culprit seems to be the overeager and totally Out Of Control Firefox staff with their ever useless updates. Firefox has never been so bad.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 12689205, 8 years agoIt removes all previous settings. It has less options and is annoying to look at in the tool bar. I went back to the older version.
- Rated 1 out of 5by k, 8 years agoafter last update, stoped opening emails from different accounts. just open the first. the old version was PERFECT
- Rated 1 out of 5by stricta, 8 years agoDepuis la dernière mise à jour, impossible de configurer plusieurs comptes, et ne garde même plus les données d'un seul compte apres la fermeture de firefox
Dommage car j'utilisais cette extension depuis plusieurs années - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 12688629, 8 years agoHasta la versión 3.X.X la verdad que la apicación iba fenomenal, pero tras la nueva actualización, va mal mal mal mal mal, no actualiza, no sincroniza, no deja el multi-login,...
- Rated 1 out of 5by Drioglann, 8 years agoHave used this for years but new version is completely useless. I keep uninstalling it and re-installing older version (thanks to previous poster <3 ) but somehow Firefox is on automatic update and I keep having to re-do the process. ANNOYING!
- Rated 1 out of 5by Gabor Nagy, 8 years agoLatest version don't work. Everyday log out my Hotmail account. I sign in, I setting, next time log out.
- Rated 1 out of 5by mshumai, 8 years agoThe latest update (4.0.2) broke the extension functions. Here are instructions for rolling back to the previous version (3.5.23).
1. Uninstall X-notifier (remove) from your extensions.
2. Search for X-notifier in the firefox addons.
3. On the X-notifier page, do NOT click 'add to Firefox'. Instead scroll down and click 'Version Information'.
4. Click 'see complete version history'.
5. Mouse-over Version 3.5.23 and click 'add to Firefox'.
6. Restart Firefox and the old functionality is restored.
However, since Firefox automatically installs add-on updates, you will need to disable this so that X-notifier does not simply install 4.0.2 again. Here are the instructions:
1. Go to about:config in address bar. Accept the risk.
2. Search for extensions.update.autoUpdateDefault and toggle it to be disabled.
Done! Hope this helps. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 10206821, 8 years agoAOL login hasn't worked in Firefox for Months! I wish BlueMail had a Firefox extension.
- Rated 1 out of 5by NJCurmudgeon, 8 years agoThe solution for now appears to be to roll back the add-on to a previous version that worked for you. As has been posted before, the link to do that is:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/xnotifier/versions/
However, you also need to turn off the auto updates so it doesn't return to the version you don't want. People have been asking how to do that, and I wasn't sure myself, so here's the answer:
From the menu at the top of Firefox, go to Add-ons in the drop-down menu under Tools. That opens your Add-Ons Manager page.
Scroll to X-notifier and click on More.
Scroll to the bottom of that page and you should see Automatic Updates at the top of a list of options. Check the Off button.
That should keep it from updating until the issues are resolved. - Rated 1 out of 5by Syxguns, 8 years agoWhat happened to this plugin? It doesn't save my data and after last update it erased all of my 7 email addresses!! Please fix this ASAP.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 12683163, 8 years agoWhy dont you test it before slapping the professionals about giving one star.
yes everything get erased and it is not a big major deal. But the fact stand that it is buggy because even when you redo your settings there is no x-notifier toolbar at all. Not even in the settings showing the option of adding the toolbar. So this one is very important to have if you want to use the application. Test it and see if you like to give a 5 stars on his latest release to the public. - Rated 1 out of 5by CK, 8 years agoI have used X-notifier for years. The new update does not work. I rolled it back as others have suggested and it seems to be working. Guys, come on, you can do better than this.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 12685125, 8 years agoIt's the first time i post a review.
This new update isn't a good update:
1) Don't works with the update of FF => we loose all the data about this addon (!!!!!!!!)
2) it's impossible to disable the update, so for each update of FF...we lose averything!!!!!!!!!!!!
3 ....but thank you for this addon....so how could we refuse update
we are really very desapointed because it's a great great extension (and indispensable!)
Please dear friend, make something for us. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 12685128, 8 years agoIt is very strange what happened on updated addon But, lucky me , I have backup at old version of x-notifier.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Porthos1976, 8 years agoSo whats the point in having a mail notifier that needs me to fill info everytime i delete cookies... sounds like we're all going back to 3.5.23.
Hope you guys can fix this cause i love this add-on - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 12684893, 8 years agoAfter years of reliability and 5 stars, the last update is simply disastrous. Please fix it asap.
- Rated 1 out of 5by SoundHound, 8 years agoOh God ! All login details gone... I hope they haven't harvested ALL OUR LOGIN DATA.
Uninstalled it immediately.
Goodbye forever. - Rated 1 out of 5by mlada, 8 years agoAs previous reviewers said "It was free, we all know, and I'm thankful for all good years I have been using it. But now, without notice, with no chance to back out of it, everything has changed, so much for the worse, that it seems intentional. As if the developers were asking (or daring) us to move away. I took the bait and so I'm gone, as I believe many others will be in the next days. Developers, you got what you wanted. Goodbye X-notifier."
