- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13340767, 7 years agoMade my Basic Yahoo Mail for Firefox free of Ads.
If you switched to the New Beta Yahoo Mail, then you have to suffer all the ads, so downgrade until the developer has made it work for the New Beta Yahoo Mail. I donated to show the love because with this add-on solves a problem when it is working.
I sometimes use the new Yahoo in Chrome and then use Webmail Ad Blocker, but that does not reclaim all the space from the ads. At least I am not drained by the ads while working.
I am desperate for Yahoo Mail Hide Ad Panel to work on the New Yahoo Mail!
Hurry Piyush! - Rated 5 out of 5by As_If, 7 years agoThis is an excellent add-on that performs exactly as promised. Its so good that I've actually forgotten what Yahoo Mail with advertisements looks like.
In addition to doing what its supposed to do, it is one of those rare things wherein the progression from values to motive to impact is logical and successful. Great Job. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 12164664, 7 years agothis must be a good add-on to stop ads on the right side panel of Yahoo!'s email client but it didn't work for me! it only works on the left side panel's ads but the top and right side panel ads are still there!
i think the problem is mostly because i switched to the new Yahoo! email client interface recently and it can 'bypass' such add-ons because another webmail ad blocker add-on did work fine on the previous version of the Yahoo!'s email client anyway ...
now, the point is, i like this new Yahoo! email interface and i'm not going to switch back really! the problem may as well be Firefox or Google Ads related because some websites do still manage to show off their ads ... - Rated 5 out of 5by Internet2k4, 8 years agoGreat for several years in concert with uBlock Origin, got everything including on 2017 beta. Yahoo beta is now permanent. I had to use uBlock on a top banner element, and a Yahoo video box shows over empty screens and has to be manually closed. Can't block it. I don't consider stupid videos a "bonus" in email, which is for email - full stop.
- Rated 3 out of 5by stevem-1364608772.76, 8 years agoIt used to work great but today the huge banner is blank leaving 25% less screen real estate. I will donate if you fix. I promise!
- Rated 5 out of 5by ctsurv553, 8 years agoThis add-on does exactly what it claims: Gets rid of the annoying Yahoo banner ads AND recovers the space they consume! Ad Block Plus also gets rid of the ads, but leaves huge chunks of white space. This add-on moves and/or expands the actual mail frame up and over to make full use of the screen. No configuration neccessary, so it's extremely simple to use. Just install it, and forget it. No Restart needed either, which is nice. If you use Yahoo mail, this is a must-have add-on.
- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 12800708, 8 years agoI opened my laptop today and now the banner at the top is back even though it's blank. Please fix. Thanks.
Now it's working. Let me know why it was glitchy. - Rated 5 out of 5by Rick, 8 years agoWas working perfectly, so now has to be upgraded to work on the new Yahoo Mail Beta, as of Mar 31, 2017.

posted 8 years agoHi Rick,
Thanks for your appreciation, and raising the concern. You mean it's not working anymore with the latest Yahoo Mail Beta? It's working for myself and some people I know. Can you contact me on the support email to tell a little more about the problems you're facing?
Thanks,

Would you be able to fix this please? I'm docking a star because of this issue, but I'll update my review with 5 if you can help me resolve this.
Edit: Haven't seen that ad in a while, so I guess it's working properly now. Bumping my score to 5 stars. :) - Rated 4 out of 5by bruceb, 8 years agoDoes not block the Large White Area above the Yahoo email page at: mg.mail.yahoo.com .. sometimes it does, sometimes not. And just to clarify, this is a very large Banner Ad from "TurboTax" .. they did this last year around this time and it is back again this year. Sometimes, clearing all the Cookies will get rid of it. Sometimes not. And all my filters for AdBlock Plus are up to date. Firefox 47.0.2 .. Thank you
- Rated 3 out of 5by gregbanks, 8 years agoUpdate to previous review, I noticed that if I disable adblock plus yahoo mail will first open with an ad at the top of the page. However after I open an email title the new page enlarges w/o the blank space. There's a disconnect between AdBlock and this add-on but there's a workaround.
- Rated 5 out of 5by MichaelAM1978, 8 years agoWorks great on the current Yahoo Mail. However, I'm using the Beta version of the new Yahoo Mail and it doesn't really work on that. The right ad panel is sometimes hidden (but the space still shows) and sometimes isn't, while the top ad panel shows all the time. However, I would imagine that once the new version of Yahoo Mail goes wide, there will be an appropriate update to the add-on.

Yes, I have not yet received an invitation/indication of the new Beta mail yet (in fact I was not aware they have introduced a beta). Whenever that happens, I'll try my best to fix that soon. - Rated 5 out of 5by KLOATL, 8 years agoThis app works great - Quick updates when Yahoo changes it's system.
- Rated 5 out of 5by rococo, 8 years agoWas having trouble getting uBlock Origin to hide the big ad blank space, this solved my troubles!
