- Rated 5 out of 5by Just Another Guy, 5 years agoThis actually works when most extensions/websites fail, as it's able to utilise ffmpeg and process everything locally.

- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 12071372, 5 years agoWorked fine until a change was made on 06/01/2020. Now nothing is downloaded when I click on the "Quick Download" option.
- Rated 3 out of 5by schmibble, 5 years agoExtension is working for me but installation is clunky and instructions for downloading are so minimal that it took me a couple of hours of experimentation to figure out that it won't merge separate video and audio together even though some of the "documentation" implies that it can. To get a working video with audio, you must download the very first file on offer.
If you want just video without audio, that's clunky too. I try to download the vid links and instead of just one file to save it pops up two. Both have same filename, so if you choose to save the 2nd as well as the first, you obviously overwrite the 2nd (this extension will start saving both, but as soon as the smaller file is done downloading, it fails and simultaneously cancels the other download, so you get nothing). If you cancel the second, a bunch more files pop up. If you keep cancelling these subsequent files until there aren't any more, you'll get just the audio file, no video. If you want the video, you're hosed. If choose to cancel the first file and save the second (and cancel any subsequent files that pop up after the second one), finally you get video only, no audio. But getting to that point is very confusing. What's with all the extra files popping up one after the other, each in their own download dialog?
Getting an audio-only file is, thankfully, just the way it should be. Click on the mp4 audio-only file (if available) and it just gives you a single file to download, exactly the way it should. (I haven't tried webm-opus, so can't speak to that option). - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 14212235, 5 years agoLOVE this extension... until today; was working perfectly fine, until today's update: it keeps giving "Error parsing info: JSON.parse"
That said, is there any way to fix the labeling from giving "_2020_06_01_" to "-2020-06-01-", instead, or at least an option of having it label titling with dash, instead of underscore for the dates? Thanks.
UPDATE: THANK YOU FOR THE FIX! That said, the date is now fixed, but the 'author' part now keeps giving "_object Object_" and not YT channel's names. Is there anyway to fix that? Thanks in advance! - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13536393, 5 years ago

- Rated 1 out of 5by moje, 5 years agoAfter updating to the latest version, the plugin stopped working. He gets the message "Batch downloading interrupted". I installed the old version 0.9.0. It's kind of buggy but the videos are downloaded correctly. Youtube seems to be starting to block the possibility of downloading clips.

Thank you for you work and may you rest now, old soldier. ^^ - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 15458370, 5 years agoWorked for years as an excellent addon and I had given it 5 stars previously, but since October 2021 has become very slow, taking ages to download e.g. a 400MB video 2 hours long take 2 hours 38 mins to download, so longer than the length of the video!
- Rated 5 out of 5by RaymondTFR, 5 years agoTo anyone who's having the "Batch downloading interrupted" error while merging video-only and audio-only files I have found a fix for it.
What you wanna do is:
1. Change "Save merged files in" location to your desktop, e.g. "C:\Users\USERNAME\Desktop"
2. Make sure these boxes are checked:
[ x ] Combine video-only and audio-only files (if FFmpeg is installed)
[ x ] Always download HD quality audio for video-only files
[ x ] Remove download file(s) after successful conversion
[ x ] Always ask for download location
[ x ] Post processing (if FFmpeg is installed): [Extract audio]
And then hit the "Save" button.
Also make sure your FFmpeg Integration is working.
When you start downloading video and audio files you'll be asked where you wanna save those files, save them in your desktop and once downloading is finished the merging process should be done.
NOTE: If you're choosing to download the MP4 versions of the video-only and audio-only then you need to choose a different download location for each one of them (audio-only and then video-only), otherwise you'll get a different error (because both audio-only and video-only versions have the same name, and renaming them will screw up the merging process.)
The WEBM counterpart does NOT have this problem. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 15044087, 5 years ago

- Rated 1 out of 5by TheGhost, 5 years agoThe extension has stopped downloading separate audio and video files (such as 1080p); when the audio file completes it says 'failed' for that file, which then cancels the video file downloading. As a workaround, download the combined 720p file first and then try downloading the 1080p video and audio files and it will *usually* complete the download and combine the files as normal.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13838001, 5 years agoIt used to worked fine. But recently downloading audio only doesn't work anymore.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 13428681, 5 years agoPreviously was a great Firefox extension.
There is an error when combining audio and video files: "cannot find the file". Problem started a few days ago.
Also, another popup appears during downloads: "Batch downloading interrupted" when audio stream download is at completion but video stream is still downloading.
Not usable anymore.
