I would say that while Firefox may be getting rid of xul stuff, there are other browsers like Waterfox which will continue to support both. It might not be a bad idea to at the very least enable users to use the xul stuff if their browser still supports it.
Don't get me wrong, this is probably my favorite and most critical add-on. That's why I'm even bothering to leave feedback. I never do. - Valutata 3 su 5di Marcome Yates, 8 anni faI miss the old version that would be in your status bar and not a button to hover above it. I had the old version working in the last version of Firefox, but now they have this Legacy thing, and previous version won't work anymore. Wish the fixed version would work in statusbar.
- Valutata 3 su 5di Utente Firefox 13107322, 8 anni fawhen tab is blank the umbrella does not appear- it should

1. Forecast bar will not be displayed on some sites from mozilla.org and google.com
2. Forecast bar will not be displayed on sites that do not have pages, for example error 404 (page not found)
3. Forecast bar will not be displayed on internal Firefox and GoogleChrome pages, for example about:addons , about:config , chrome://extensions/ , chrome://settings/ , etc.
4. Forecast bar will not be displayed on the WebExtensions pages "moz-extension://...." , "chrome-extension://...."
5. Forecast bar may not be displayed correctly on some sites. In this case, report the problem on the forum - Valutata 3 su 5di Eric Klien, 8 anni faI agree with robert3353 that this add-on is the only reason I use Firefox at all. Here is how I got the add-on to work for now:
Note that I am using the add-on Classic Theme Restorer. I am also running Firefox ESR 32-bit as I attempt to hold on to features. You can get the ESR version at https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/all/
You can find version 2.4.8 at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/forecastfox-fix-version/versions

http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?p=14747728#p14747728 - Valutata 3 su 5di geekess, 8 anni faand don't need two showing the temperature. I loved the previous version that sat in my tool bar, and allowed me to have the days side by side. I love being able to mouse over the radar and have it automagically show me how far away the rain is. The WU add-on already gives me (very) local temps in my taskbar with its icon. I don't need two add-ons doing the same thing. I've rolled back the update on my desktop since seeing the change on my laptop. I will be rolling back that update as well.
This used to be a five-star add-on, and I'm sure, will be again. But not right now.Replica dello sviluppatore

But do not worry, I'll come up with a workaround and will return Forecastfox previous form - Valutata 3 su 5di cactusneedle, 8 anni faI was able to back and reinstall the prior version from the FF(fix) home page. Now it works. Find the previous versions to get out of this fix. Try to stop it from automatically updating itself.
- Valutata 3 su 5di Epuni, 8 anni faAs much as I do not like the new look, I can't get mad since you did what you could to save this add on. People just don't like change but I understand why you had to change it.. I just have one suggestion and that is too give us an option to disable the satellite because it doesn't always load and I'd rather not have it when I click on the weather button. Thanks for your work!

pubblicato il 8 anni fado not worry, I'll come up with a workaround and will return Forecastfox previous form - Valutata 3 su 5di mathom, 8 anni faWhen the original Forecastfox became unusable, I was extremely disappointed, since it was the perfect weather add-on for me - small, informative, and always there with no clicking pr pointing required.
When the fix version showed up, I was thrilled. Once again, the perfect weather add-on was back.
Now, however, it's gone, and it appears it's gone for good, because of the changes firefox is making. I get that this is not the developer's fault, but it makes forecastfox clunky and not very usable for me.
I can go to almost any page and get weather. What made forecastfox so great is that there was a wealth of information in a small space, and it was always there, no clicking needed, so even if you were busy with something that you couldn't interrupt, you could see what the weather would be tomorrow.
Thank you for making the fix version. I'll probably keep it, for now at least, but I'll be looking for a new solution again.Replica dello sviluppatore

That is where I have put ForecastFox since I started using it. Now that the new ForecastFox height is 2x larger it looks bad in the status bar. If you could have a setting in ForecastFox where the weather icon could be moved down a line so the overall height would be the same as it was in the old ForecastFox. Just a thought. Otherwise will be installing the old version.

pubblicato il 8 anni faI can try to look for workarounds and return something similar to the statusbar in the version for WebExtensions - Valutata 3 su 5di freemen2, 8 anni faI prefer the way 2.4.8 works. Will be using as long as possible then I guess I will be looking once more for what's out there. I just like to be able to see what I want to see where I want to see it without having to click on it. Thanks for all the work you've done on this and are doing. I understand this is FF policies but am hoping like heck you or someone will figure a way around this :)

Thank you for understanding the current situation! - Valutata 3 su 5di Hoggy, 8 anni fa3 stars is mainly because this used to be a 5-star addon. Now it is just slightly better than the rest. But at least in the new version, the icon couldn't even be moved out of the navigation bar - it remained stuck in 'More Tools'.. So I couldn't even see the basic weather info at a glance.
I like having several days in the addon bar, and being able to hover over one and get more info - ESPECIALLY for the RADAR!
I reverted back to 2.4.8 and turned of automatic updates.. Like more and more addons these days, due to Mozilla's bulls**t. The regular Firefox is barely even usable to me anymore, so I use Cyberfox instead and turn off addon compatibility checking.
I did note that the search was broken like the author said, but fortunately I had all the cities already in. Maybe the author can tell how to manually add them in about:config??
Way to go Mozilla! Continually screwing over all the addon developers again and again and again and again. It's no wonder why so many addons have become abandoned.
Edit after developer reply:
I know it's not you, sorry if I made it sound that way. If it helps, yours [3.4] was the only one I tried that formatted the popup correctly - and looked the nicest and neatest. Hopefully in newer versions you could at least allow the icon/text to be moved elsewhere (including a statusbar, for Firefox forks like Cyberfox).
I can only hope Cyberfox sticks with the older code line, at least as an option. I currently still enjoy having the statusbar, and being able to see multiple days in it, with popup info & radar. I forgot to check if v3.4 allowed popup radar, because that is extraordinarily important to me in a weather addon - as opposed to having to open up a webpage that may take a good while to load.Replica dello sviluppatore

**Update... its still not usable but at the same time i didn't think about the bulls**t mozilla is pulling with the add-on api I'm still mad as hell but not at you, mozilla on the other hand can go directly to the chromed hell they are turning firefox into. Im running the ESR just so i can view security cameras because they killed the extensions for that too....Replica dello sviluppatore
