As it stands, it red flags Al-Qaeda and the Nazi Party in Wikipedia articles, which is low-key hilarious, but also completely unnecessary.

It seems pretty easy for people to get flagged green for a cursory gesture of solidarity despite being generally neutral on trans rights at best and connected to known transphobes at worst. I'm not sure I support taking it away entirely because there have been occasions where it did actually clarify some things, but maybe stricter criteria is necessary.

I noticed a handful of false positives (something the developer says on their website is to be expected), but overall, so far it has accurately and correctly identified trans-friendly users. Due to my already extensive blocking habits, I've yet to see many red names, but the ones it has marked so far were correct, and mostly people I had already identified as such and blocked.

- Valutata 4 su 5di Utente Firefox 16961880, 4 anni fagenuinely really useful to find out who's worth giving a shit about and who isn't! one feature i'd suggest is an option to automatically block those who are marked red as it'd be cool if i could be able to stop running into them before i've even run into them or whatevs. otherwise a very useful addon!
- Valutata 1 su 5di Ehud, 4 anni faThis add on has been wrongfully targetting trans men and intersex people. Not recommended.

I don't think there's really an easy way to get around that while still keeping the spirit of the extension (I find that being transphobic and not being trans friendly are not necessarily always the same thing). I guess flagging transphobes or flagging trans-friendly pages would have to take priority in that case... Or maybe I'm overthinking it.
Anyway, I also am wary when it comes to the occasional inclusion of transmeds or their supporters - For example, I know Contrapoints has *said* she doesn't agree with transmeds and supports nonbinary people, but in the past she certainly hasn't demonstrated that through action. It has been a while since I checked up on that situation though, so maybe my own information is out of date. That brings me to the last point. I know this extension aims to tackle a very complex issue; that, combined with the reports being crowdsourced, makes for a really difficult task for its moderators.
Don't expect the filters to be flawless, don't turn your brain off. But this is definitely a helpful starting point and has made my internet experience as a trans person a lot less stressful. In an ideal world, Shinigami Eyes would have the resources to be available for mobile social media apps too... I can dream, haha. - Valutata 1 su 5di aniline, 4 anni fa
