This is basically a website version of a bookmark folder, with a search engine somehow tangled in. In order to really use this you need to make an account so it can save your bookmarks to their system which means an email, but you don't even really need the email since you aren't required to confirm your account through the email so you can probably literally use bob at gmail and it will accept that atm.

Also when you make an account you can't change the name or even add a picture or change the email as it doesn't exist and the username is your email name.
You also don't get two columns with the classic web search and your bookmark links as apparently they did away with that in a new version of the site and you have tabs instead so have fun clicking each every time you search. Also instead of having a search bar in the "My Antmarks" tab for bookmarks, it's only in the main search bar which is confusing to me as I expect to be able to search only my bookmarks in my bookmarks folder, not on the search engine. The only way you can search otherwise is with the tags which are buggy

The ant search engine is also functionally useless as it is really specific and non-intuitive, if I look up "skyrim destruction" I get only 4 results and two of them are basically the same result, if I look up "elderscrolls destruction" then I get nothing, however somehow the old version of the site is different and I get results for both and 2 more which are about as random as page 7 on Google so the old site is somehow better at searching and you are still better off using DDG or Google.

I'm only reviewing this because Ant Video Downloader has it's update notes on the website and I looked at it and got interested but I'm a little disappointed as I was expecting to have the ability to make a more personalized list of bookmarks in folders that I can section off from the main folder and more but honestly I would be better off using the default bookmark system and the Default Bookmark Folder add-on and not putting my bookmarks on the internet to get stolen potentially, lol.

Firefox Sync is far better for storing bookmarks across devices tbh. Also on a final note the development seems really slow considering this was made around 2017 and it still seems to be lacking in its core features after getting to what seems like the official release.

However 4 stars since I think it's at least worth seeing where it goes but honestly I see nothing changing as I don't think they read these reviews and I half expect them to make the Downloader or the Video Converter have a requirement like "30 downloads a day no ads with PREMIUM" or something.

Edit: Looks like I'm eating my words, they changed it and I can search my individual antmarks now, no e-mail recovery yet and as I type this I literally just made an ant.com account with bob at gmail (he wont mind lol) but still I got a response so there's that.

download button disappeared. The OS I'm using is WIN XP, it was working properly until today and the download button disappeared, been trying the whole day to reinstall and to no avail. I have to use WIN XP due to applications I cannot reinstall. I know that ANT.com can still work with WIN XP using Firefox browser.
