di Utente Firefox 13329901, 7 anni faAdd-on does not work as described. No instructions for use by developer. Will never be the equal of Lazarus. Not recommended in any way. 0/5.

This extension saves textareas, not all forms. If it does not work for you on a specific site please include it in your review or file a bug at https://github.com/lutostag/webextension-formsave/issues and I will try to fix it.
Thanks for the time to make a review, wish you had a better experience.

- Valutata 4 su 5di Utente Firefox 6646734, 4 anni faI asked Mozilla Forum what happened to an old addon called Lazarus, which allowed retrieval of recently entered text on a form. Two addons were nominated and I tried both: **Simple Form History** showed a menu topped by search terms submitted an hour before to Google, while **FormSave** produced a popup menu with my recently submitted comment text as the first item, and I clicked to retrieve into a blank form in that website. I don't know how broadly FormSave will work--so I give it 4 stars here-- but Lutostag may want to broaden its name and utility.

Thanks for taking the time to review. - Valutata 5 su 5di Fornit, 7 anni faIt's great, but it would be better with absolute time-date like 23/04/2018 23:57
And with all Database in text file - or export to text?Replica dello sviluppatore
pubblicato il 7 anni faHey Fornit,
We have added support to export the saved form data (it should be available from the add-on settings page since version 0.9.14). I have added a feature request for the date format change on the GitHub page at https://github.com/lutostag/webextension-formsave/issues/19.
Thanks for the feedback! - Valutata 2 su 5di Utente Firefox 13834301, 7 anni faWorks on one of two sites, im using often. Facebook.com does work. Brieffreunde.de does not work. www.kialo.com does not work. If this is not working on sites with great amount of text, its pretty much useless.

I have added the issues https://github.com/lutostag/webextension-formsave/issues/13 and https://github.com/lutostag/webextension-formsave/issues/14 to track work on the problem.
Hopefully an easy fix. I will try to take a look at those sites soon. I did not know about them, but I will add them to the testing. - Valutata 4 su 5di Utente Firefox 13828945, 7 anni faLike most others, I use it as replacement for Lazarus and although different, it is useful.
But I just discovered it doesn´t capture the Write window on Google Gmail. I once more fell victim to the common plague of focusing on the keyboard while typing, and not noticing, that the typed text had been accidentally marked by a swipe on the trackpad. I had been typing quite a lot and was knocked down to a state of depression by the incident.
So, please fix this ASAP!
Thank you!

I have added an issue https://github.com/lutostag/webextension-formsave/issues/15 - Valutata 5 su 5di miko007, 7 anni faRequest: Could you ad an exclusion list for certain sites and the possibilities to click directly on the URL in the "widget" to go back directly to the URL where where the text was typed ?

pubblicato il 7 anni faThanks for the feedback. I have just submitted a new version to review with the ability to go to the page currently selected in the actionPage. It should be live and available in a day or two. Thanks for the good suggestion!
I have also filed a feature request for blacklisting certain sites, you can follow along here: https://github.com/lutostag/webextension-formsave/issues/9
Thanks again for leaving feedback, I appreciate it!
- Valutata 2 su 5di John, 7 anni faThe title of this review is the question I have in mind. I find the add on having saved a gazillion of forms but not the last one I am looking to find. It's not even saving this text I am writing. Shouldn't this little text box be the first that the author verifies it is working? I mean, if it doesn't work with the text box in the Firefox add on review form, how can you give it a higher rating?
The fact is that I use it only because an older add on I have isn't getting updated and does not support multithreading. Not because it is any good. Unfortunately.
So I only hope that one day FormSave will be an add on that you can trust that it will save what you are typing. For now, it's usability is questionable. I only keep it on my browser only for the lack of alternatives and no other reason.Replica dello sviluppatore
pubblicato il 7 anni faHey John.
I have tested it on several sites. If there is one that does not work, please mention it specifically. I will work to figure out why and make it work.
Unfortunately all firefox content-script addons are disabled on the addons.mozilla.org site (as a security measure so that one addon cannot maliciously install further addons I believe).
(the note right above this link is the only stated documenation I could find). https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Add-ons/WebExtensions/Modify_a_web_page#Modifying_pages_that_match_a_URL_pattern
Sorry for the confusion on that. Hope the addon has been useful otherwise. And I will endeavor to test it on more sites as I come across them.
I appreciate the feedback, sorry for it not working in that particular case. - Valutata 4 su 5di Utente Firefox 12297356, 7 anni fa+1 star since my last review, since the UI evolution was exactly what I requested: thanks for listening.
For further improvements:
I would like to be able to redimension the "pop-up" and is columns, but maybe that's a Firefox limitation.
In particular, the "date" column is too wide on my display, and the "URL" one not wide enough.
Also, in replacement to the URL column, or as an addition, I think the column with the Page Title would be useful.
TextArea Cache Lite does offer that.
Finally, the column sorting should be remembered (and should be "from most recent to oldest" by default, in my opinion).Replica dello sviluppatore
pubblicato il 7 anni faI agreed 100% with your previous suggestions. They were spot on. I know there needs to be some further improvement, but yes these changes are a bit more difficult to make. I will think about the overall experience and see if I can improve it further.
Thanks for the suggestions, you have already made this add-on better with your previous eagle-eyed ui requests! - Valutata 2 su 5di chris p, 7 anni fa
- Valutata 4 su 5di Utente Firefox 12518081, 7 anni fa... does work now a lot better, thanks a lot!!
as mentioned by others, there's still UI improvement possible though. :)
but still, this is usefull, now where lazarus is dead.
btw, here @addons.mozilla.org it still doesn't work.Replica dello sviluppatore

- Valutata 1 su 5di alberto.villar, 8 anni faHello,
As Lazarus stopped working after FF 53 got installed, I decided to use the apparently nice suggestion of this addin. I have restarted the browser, just in case.
This addin, in my case, does not save anything. I just occupies a place in the tool bar.
Nice decoration !!!
What a waste if time, AlbertoReplica dello sviluppatore
pubblicato il 7 anni faThere is a newer version currently under review that fixes a few problems. If you can give me an example of a website that does not work I will try to make it so.
(also the name may be confusing -- it saves only textareas (large comment boxes) not whole forms so far).
An example that works for me is http://www.yamllint.com/.
Please let me know if I can help fix this problem.
