Only the main computer knows about the "live-ness" of the bookmark and while the synced machines will get a snapshot of the RSS Feed, they won't be able to update it. Apparently the Addon doesn't sync settings using Firefox Sync.

pubblicato il 6 anni faHello Mastacheata,
Thanks for the review, the latest version (version 1.8) now adds Firefox sync support. Normally, the livemarks should appear on the other instance too and should be listed under the add-on preferences. Can you please let us know if it works for you ?
Thanks again.

This used to work with live bookmarks using the URL: 'https://www.youtube.com/feeds/videos.xml?channel_id=CHANNELID" . It looks to me like the Youtube XML fomat is not readable in Livemarks. Does anyone know a workaround?

pubblicato il 6 anni faTracking protection/content blocking might be blocking the feed from being fetched, you'll need to whitelist the domain. - Valutata 4 su 5di Dbradley, 6 anni faBest for now. Not working with gmail or reddit. Not sure why, but ty for this.
- Valutata 5 su 5di Utente Firefox 14373793, 6 anni faThis replaces live bookmarks really good. I love to glide through the bookmarks without being distracted and installing a separate rss feeders or using extensions wich need extra windows is too much for me. thank you!

- Valutata 4 su 5di Bim, 6 anni faThanks for the great addon!
Just what I wanted: Adds an icon to the adress bar when a RSS/ATOM feed is available for the website you're on. Click to add a live feed bookmark. The addon regularly updates those bookmarks, just like Firefox does/did. If now the bookmarks had the correct favicon I'd give it 5 stars, but that's an API-problem atm afaik... - Valutata 5 su 5di Utente Firefox 10199255, 6 anni faGood follow-up for the old live bookmarks. Didn't encounter any problems yet. I'd like to at least be able to choose between some icons though, the icon could use some color imho. Anyway, keep up the good work!

- Valutata 4 su 5di Underpass, 7 anni faGood surrogate of the much missed RSS features in Firefox. The Livemarks folder icon should be different from "normal" bookmarks icons.

- Valutata 4 su 5di Utente Firefox 14207240, 7 anni faThank you for this Add-on. I'm gonna need it when Mozilla turns off the dynamic bookmarks. But I've found some differences. Perhaps there is a way to integrate the following points.
- Dynamic bookmarks of Firefox show more entries (if available). I tried it with the feed of orf.at (Austrias most popular news site)
- When I have read a bookmark the icon changes. That's very useful.
- The description field is automatically filled in the dynamic bookmarks (irrelevant but just saying)
Btw. if you need a translator for German I can help you. - Valutata 4 su 5di MonkPredator04, 7 anni faReally useful, reminds me of Liveclick (http://pzlc.protej.com/liveclick/home/) a lot. There are some features that Firefox might allow permissions for in the future that will help this extension to be even better but I am already very, very glad this exists!
- Valutata 5 su 5di Utente Firefox 13663169, 7 anni faGood replacement addon for the abbandond live bookmarks in future firefox releases.
Some minor things are to be done yet, but its promissing !
Try it, or you will regret it :) - Valutata 4 su 5di Utente Firefox 13443635, 7 anni faLooks like the best replacement for Live Bookmarks that I've seen so far. The only major problem is that it is missing the ability to distinguish read items, which is something the author acknowledges; however, I have no idea if this is even possible with the current WebExtension APIs. I will hope for the future I guess.
- Valutata 5 su 5di Utente Firefox 13909443, 7 anni faThis addon is important because Mozilla has abandoned free and open web technologies.
They've deprecated Livemark RSS/Atom feed reading to be removed by Firefox 63. They are now going to be pushing Pocket, which is a proprietary technology that they purchased, with the belief that focusing all their efforts on that will get them beyond 5% overall browser marketshare.
As of August 2018, I've found this addon has stopped updating[0] for me. Similar behavior to how I found Foxish in Chrome to function years ago. I'll update my review as things change, but I'm close to abandoning Firefox altogether after 16 years of using it, since it was Phoenix. The only thing left are containers and the dedicated search bar.
UPDATE 10/17/18- all problems resolved. This is now better than Foxish ever was. Changed rating to 5 stars.

- Firefox sync (some RSS article links got changed to empty folders, there are problems with synchronizing subscribed RSS channels),
- Recent bookmarks "magic" folder got flooded with RSS entries (all RSS entries got there, pushing off bookmarks I added manually).
I'll update my review when things change :)
Too bad Mozilla decided to delete a good feature because "people don't use it", but they didn't actively promote it :(Replica dello sviluppatore

Also, the recent bookmarks folder situation should be improved as we no longer recreate the bookmarks when updating them.
Thanks again.
