To proceed, click the Refresh Plugin button below to clear the plugin cache." I do this and it takes me to the Okta sign in page. I sign in and the browser extension just says the same thing.
The Chrome version of the extension is working fine.Replica dello sviluppatore

I'm stuck with it because of work, but I'd avoid it like the plague if I could.
Edit in response to the developer response - I think that's part of the problem, I shouldn't need a browser add-on.Replica dello sviluppatore
pubblicato il 4 anni faSorry for the trouble! The Okta Browser Plugin has some password managing features, but the primary use of the Okta Browser Plugin is to allow you to login to certain types of websites that are assigned to your by your IT Team. If you have any other questions, we'd love to help out. Please email us at pluginsupport@okta.com. Thanks! Okta Customer Support - Valutata 5 su 5di Deepanshu Jain, 4 anni fa

There is this app that you sometimes use to make things a bit more convenient. It's not the only way to get things done but it's one of the fastest ones. Now that app needs to gain control about YOUR privacy settings. The privacy controls that is the last tiny bit you can still control on the internet. And this app want's to have the ability to modify things behind the curtains. I'm gonna go with a "Hefty no to that." Even at the cost of uninstalling it..
Edit:
Thank you for your explanation. I do appreciate when developers follow up. Unfortunately (for me), I am not willing to provide that permission. If anything, the internet thought me that privacy cannot be based on honor system.Replica dello sviluppatore
pubblicato il 5 anni faStarting in version 5.38.0, you were prompted by Firefox to allow the Okta Browser Plugin to Read and Modify Privacy Settings. We requested this permission because we are launching a new optional feature called “Disable browser password prompts” that prevents your browser from asking for your passwords for apps saved in Okta. Okta will not modify any of your Privacy Settings unless you choose to enable this feature.
Okta cares deeply about your Privacy. We will release a new version soon that will improve this experience. If you have any further questions on this, or any concerns, please email us at pluginsupport@okta.com and we'll gladly help. Thanks! Okta Customer Support - Valutata 2 su 5di mail43, 5 anni faIt was not comfortable to require it to be installed in the first place, but I could live with it.
What has become a show-stopper is that latest versions require it to be given "Read and modify privacy settings".
That is a permission I am not willing to give to any extension.Replica dello sviluppatore

If I wasn't required to have this installed I'd have thrown it out a window.
No matter what configuration settings you choose this annoying add-on pops on every single page you visit and can't be closed.Replica dello sviluppatore
pubblicato il 5 anni faSorry for the trouble! This should only popup if you visit a site that has a saved login in Okta. Otherwise, it should stay silent. We would love to look in to why you're having this issue so we can correct this. Please email us at pluginsupport@okta.com so we can help. Thanks! Okta Customer Support - Valutata 4 su 5di noquarteer, 5 anni faIt respects the firefox tab containers. I think we all are waiting for the alt+o/cmd+shift+o shorcut. It works very well.
