- Valutata 4 su 5di bloodbuzz, 5 anni faFirst issue encountered today. Tried to change my email with Craigslist but was unable to.
Craigslist required confirmation from old and new email addresses. Old email address received the confirmation request and this was confirmed.
However, Firefox relay forwarded (as it is supposed to) the new "relay" email. So when I tried to confirm it, it only showed the old email to Craigslist.
I wonder if this issue will occur with other site that I want to change my email to the "relay" email?
See below:
We have received a request to change the email address associated with your craigslist account.
If you did not request this change, please log in and change your password.
Old address:---------hotmail.com
New address:--------relay.firefox.com
You will need to confirm this change from both the old address and the new address.
You have 60 minutes to submit both confirmations.

The icon added to email fields interferes with my password manager. The "Show Relay icon in email fields on websites" setting allows you to disable this feature. Unfortunately, it resets to enabled every time you restart the browser.Replica dello sviluppatore
pubblicato il 5 anni faWe have a fix for the reset issue which we'll release in an upcoming deploy.

We're working on a product that expands upon the 5 email aliases. We wanted to assess interest in this type of service before we invested in a more complete offering. We have logged issues for instances where our icon interferes with other password managers and the issues with the setting not persisting across browser restarts. Thanks for being an early adopter of Relay and finding value in it. - Valutata 4 su 5di Utente Firefox 16208230, 5 anni faA great concept, but a few kinks to work out. I created an alias tonight (at 7:43pm MDT on Aug 9) and the date shows Aug 10, so perhaps relay.firefox.com is only showing UTC? Would be great if it were localized. Additionally, 5 free aliases is great for free, but a service like this really depends heavily on the ability to create unlimited aliases... I hope that that feature will be reasonably priced.

pubblicato il 5 anni faWow - great catch. We'll look into this. Localization is definitely on our roadmap (would love to know what locales you are interested in). We are working on an offering with more aliases. - Valutata 4 su 5di dominik, 5 anni fa
- Valutata 4 su 5di Utente Firefox 16194141, 5 anni faforwarded messages in Unicode are displayed as strings of code. otherwise, great idea, thank you so much.

pubblicato il 4 anni faWe just deployed a new release which should fix this issue. If it does, can you let us know here? (And maybe update your review so other users will also know it's working?) - Valutata 4 su 5di obrys82, 5 anni faSender's name with unicode characters are broken in forwarded messages.

I try it on Wattpad. At first, it did not accept relay, but then it do. However, I can not recieve the confirmation mail from Wattpad.
And please make the relay address be shown right on the addon, it would be more convenience. - Valutata 4 su 5di Utente Firefox 15019842, 5 anni faThe forwarding mechanism works fast (enough) and reliably. But I'd expect the extension to show the adresses that have been created, along their names. As you can only create 5 adresses, they'll be used for multiple services, not just one. So please, let me select and copy / paste the adresses right from the little overlay or the extension window, instead of having to go to the website.
- Valutata 4 su 5di Kris, 5 anni faI really like the concept and believe that some general problems will be fixed in the future.
Since I can't find any other place to report some Websites that do not accept @relay.firefox.com addresses here is a list:
(Accept the Address but mail doesn't get through):
blizzard.com
epicgames.com
(Doesn't even accept the address):

I would like to see if a user can add characters (like Yahoo) and have the rest randomized or something. I just started using this...but I'm loving it. As a grad student I'm hoping a paid option does not ruin it for me...I'm also hopeful as other users for using diff verification emails. Great tool!
- Valutata 4 su 5di m-p{3}, 5 anni faI love the idea behind the concept, but I hope the 5 address limit might be increased or even removed, even if it's a paid option.
I also hope the ability to forward to a verified registered secondary email in a Firefox account will be added eventually.
I also hope the ability to manually add a note to a specific relay email to know it was used where, as I don't always rely on the extension to create one. - Valutata 4 su 5di taigi100, 5 anni faAwesome idea, looks good!
It needs a way to select the alias quickly and insert it in forms. I'd say either make the alias customizable or make the plugin icon bar show the aliases with a small copy button near them. - Valutata 4 su 5di Liminor, 5 anni faA few features are left to be desired: The top bar icon would be more helpful if it showed the emails you've generated already; allowance of "-" in the url string. Every test environment on Netlify uses it. I would see relay as a great tool for registering test emails for developers.
- Valutata 4 su 5di Mani Naren, 5 anni faI love it. It works as expected. 5 alias limit might seem too restrictive, but at the moment I am not impacted by it.
I miss two things
1. my own alias which many have reported
2. Change my forwarding email address. Right now it only takes email from firefox account.Replica dello sviluppatore
pubblicato il 5 anni faThanks for the feedback! Both of those items are on our backlog. - Valutata 4 su 5di tekgnomon, 5 anni faIf a user has many Relay IDs and happens to get emails which for some reason are not easily identifiable from the content as to which account sent them, then it would be useful if the information in the forwarding header also included the information from the Account note field which was provided when the ID was created.
Replica dello sviluppatore
pubblicato il 5 anni faThanks for the feedback. Unfortunately - or fortunately? - the account note for the ID is saved client-side in the add-on so that Mozilla never has a record of where you created an alias. This means we don't have the account note in our server where we generate the forwarding header. - Valutata 4 su 5di another dude, 5 anni fai currently have burner email extension which allows you to use 5 email addresses which can be used over and over again without logging in. i was expecting relay to be the same but it seems i have to log in to use it every time, and when i close the tab or firefox browser, i have to log in again.i'm guessing i'm missing something : ) or not ? but either way i'm sticking around to watch it grow , thanks its still useful though, just a bit different.
sorry for late response, after using a clean profile i'm guessing my problem was an addon clash as it works as expected now : ) gonna check them out by disabling one by one - thanks
so it is temporary containers addon that was causing it for me.Replica dello sviluppatore
pubblicato il 5 anni faThanks for the feedback. Hmm ... you should only have to log in once and the add-on should stay logged-in all the time. Would you be comfortable filing an issue on GitHub with specific steps to reproduce the bug you're seeing? https://github.com/mozilla/fx-private-relay/issues - Valutata 4 su 5di Clemens, 5 anni faSeems to work very well. 4 instead of 5 stars because only 5 aliases is not enough for my needs...but I guess this will maybe increase in the future.

- Valutata 4 su 5di Utente Firefox 14353500, 5 anni faFirst impression: great application, I can finally use it to sign in some small sites or blogs that might have security concern. A little advice, I already hold multiple e-mail addresses for different use. If I could "customize the forwarding email address", that would be awesome. I could forward the spam&suspicious emails only to my "various special email addresses" and deal with them there, instead of the single important email address that I used for logging in to FireFox, which adds one more layer of protection. All in all, great service and great idea!
