di olivrrstray, un anno faBroken with the March 19th update, 124.0.
Edit:
For the more tech savvy, there is a workaround on Issues tab on the Github page.
For the less tech savvy who have Windows:
1. Hit Windows + R.
2. Put "%APPDATA%\nulldev\FirefoxProfileSwitcher\config\" in the prompt, and hit "ok." This will open the folder with configuration files.
3. Copy the path; this is the address in the top bar. It should look similar to this:
C:\Users\[yourusername]\AppData\Roaming\nulldev\FirefoxProfileSwitcher\config
4. Open the notepad app, create a new file. Paste the following text in the notepad:
{"browser_binary": "C:\\Program Files\\Mozilla Firefox\\firefox.exe"}
5. Open the File menu, click Save As.
6. In the address bar, paste the address you saw before, and change "Save as type" from Text documents to all files. You should see files like "avatar.json"
7. Save the file as: config.json
8. Reopen Firefox

Pessimo. - Valutata 2 su 5di tC, 24 giorni faHas anyone been able to get this to work? I installed the additional software with the wizard, and added the extension to all my profiles, but the profile buttons are not responsive.
- Valutata 1 su 5di Korbin, un mese faUsed to work flawlessly, but seems the dev has stopped updating it.

- Valutata 1 su 5di Oken, 3 mesi faDoesn't seem to work. You need to install third party software which is a already weird, but even after that clicking the profiles doesn't do anything...

- Valutata 4 su 5di Utente Firefox 18656237, 4 mesi faWorks alright BUT you need a bit of tinkering. Basically, Firefox already has support for profiles. The problem is, you have to go on "about:profiles" and this is NOT user friendly at all. This extension make it so that you have an easy access to these profiles à-la Google Chrome. The catch though, is that you have to follow the little wizard provided by the extension once installed. The wizard makes you install a little program needed for the extension to actually work, otherwise you would see your profiles but clicking on them would not work. You have to create a simple config file to provide the right path to Firefox executable and voilà. Works wonder after that.
- Valutata 4 su 5di Dream, 4 mesi faThe add-on is outdated but I have good news for you. Firefox announced that Profile Management System will soon be added to the Firefox Browser.
- Valutata 4 su 5di Utente Firefox 18639698, 4 mesi faguys, you dont need this:
go to about:config in address bar
type browser.profiles.enabled to true.
it works as you expect natively - Valutata 1 su 5di NirBB, 4 mesi fa
- Valutata 1 su 5di Greg, 5 mesi faThis mod requires installing a 3rd party binary. This is an enormous security risk and absurd for the given functionality.
- Valutata 2 su 5di Firedingo, 5 mesi faAdd-On has potential, I understand it worked well before but seems to have issues with working since Firefox 124.0.0. Seems the environment variable was deleted. Some people have had success fixing the issue by setting the path correctly with a config file but not everyone has. Would love to see the dev fix this add-on or Mozilla to implement an official version themselves.
Definitely worth checking out, can't promise it'll work though. - Valutata 1 su 5di Utente Firefox 14285360, 5 mesi faThis requires a random binary to be installed on my machine to work (Fedora Linux). It's seemingly open source but of course I need to go through the Rust code to understand what it's doing. Also check that the binary was transparently generated from the published code in the gh pipelines.. not worth the hassle. Nice attempt but the risk aren't worth it. I would've rather it offered me the choice to point to the profile folders instead. Less intrusive and more secure.
