This add-on is very non-intrusive (I personally just use it by right clicking the password field and selecting generate password when I need a new one, then right click and choose "insert previous password" if I need to repeat it). The only improvement I can think of would be that generate password automatically populate any password fields (including repeats for new accounts), but then that could come in the way of the natural simplicity of the add on (I found LastPass would, occasionally, try to populate fields it didn't need to).

However I think that there are 2 significant blunders or "rookie mistakes."
#1: enforcing a minimum count of a certain type of character. By using the up and down arrows, only a minimum of 2 can be selected. But a 0 (zero) can be manually entered, and should be, to maximize randomness and eliminate a bias. The outline should not be highlighted in red as if it's not a good thing to specify a minimum of 2 characters for a particular type of character.
#2: there is no explanation as to how the random characters are generated, how robust is the cryptographic process. True randomness is very difficult to generate. These passwords are probably good enough for log-in passwords, but what about for use with true encryption? If I need robust passwords for encryption I'd go to grc.com, packetizer.com, or use Keepass. - Valutata 2 su 5di Dean Beedell, 7 anni faI have used this add on for a while and have always been impressed by its ease of use and functionality. The latest version has broken so I am only going to give it a 2 star rating rather than a 5 star which it used to deserve.
The context menu pop up does not work. I don't have one at all with the new version. The pop up has been moved to a menu bar and that is a retrograde step. I would not recommend this add-on until these poorly though-out changes are reversed.
It is also incompatible with multi process. All in all the add on is going in the wrong direction. - Valutata 4 su 5di Dekel Tal, 8 anni faThis addon is one of the most useful I have installed. I love that it's quick and simple, and yet powerful.
Unfortunately, I think the latest change, where the password generation UI moved to a toolbar button (instead of the pop-up window) takes this add-on backward in terms of user-experience.
* The new button now unnecessarily takes up space on my toolbar. Moving it to the menu requires an additional click, plus causes the UI to be clipped so a horizontal scroll is required (which is bad user experience)
* For some reason the right-click functionality doesn't open the "Generate Password" UI. The only way I'm able to make it pop is by directly clicking the toolbar button, which takes away the locality of this function.
* The right-click menu now requires an additional level instead of quick selection
It just seems like these changes fix something that was not broken, while not providing any new functionality. - Valutata 5 su 5di foodi, 8 anni faIt was wonderful being able to right click and bring up the Password Generator UI.
I don't understand why this is no longer possible from the context menu. I feel the latest changes have taken a step backwards. I don't like clicking the menu button, and the new generator UI is ugly and clips essential menu items so it's hard to read.
Really, the original implementation was excellent. Please revert back to that. What is the rationale for the new behaviour?
UPDATE: Nevermind, this addon is excellent. Kudos.
