Versione 2.8
Rilasciato 25 nov 2024 - 78,16 kBCompatibile con firefox58.0 e successive- Fixed a bug where the Insights icons (active tab, tracking sites, etc.) were displayed during the popup refresh even if they were disabled by the user in the settings
- Minor UI update (stars were misaligned with the listed sites)Codice sorgente rilasciato sotto licenza Solo GNU General Public License v3.0
Versione 2.7
Rilasciato 20 nov 2024 - 78,14 kBCompatibile con firefox58.0 e successive- Added a reset feature to clear your favorites and reset all settings to factory defaults
- Added a new export/import feature for all cookies in a JSON format. This should include containers and all cookie properties in addition to metadata such as SimpleCookie version, date of export, etc. Be careful as your cookies are not encrypted
- UI tweaksCodice sorgente rilasciato sotto licenza Solo GNU General Public License v3.0
Versione 2.6
Rilasciato 21 ott 2024 - 76,89 kBCompatibile con firefox58.0 e successive- Added a new favorite status (star icon) for all websites listed in SimpleCookie, protecting their associated cookies from deletion. Favorites are protected from all deletion processes included in SimpleCookie (deletion in the main pop-up, deletion in the detailed table, deletion via the broom and trash can shortcuts) except the myCleaner 'Cookies' option, which intentionally bypasses this status. This should allow you to have a more personalized deletion process, cleaning everything except your favorites, protecting some from accidental deletion, etc. Again, hover over each icon and shortcut for details.
- Updated the table (right-click) with a new container information column.
- Fixed a rare bug where the exact same cookie opened in the default and a special container would show up only once instead of twice.
- Removed the option to hide the Dock, since it is now an essential part of the addon (undo deletion, myCleaner, etc.).
- Minor UI updates (still updating the UI from time to time to find the perfect balance between simplicity and efficiency...).
- Added some US SLD exceptions for the 50 different states.gov domains.
- Updated the trackerdb with the latest version of Ghostery.Codice sorgente rilasciato sotto licenza Solo GNU General Public License v3.0
Versione 2.5
Rilasciato 14 ott 2024 - 75,85 kBCompatibile con firefox58.0 e successive- A new configurable "myCleaner" feature replaces the previous "nuclear" icon. You can now choose which browsing data you want to delete in the settings and have a personalized cleaner that matches your choices. Cookies as well as browsing and download history are enabled by default.
- The settings menu has been completely redesigned. Move your cursor over any of the settings listed to see information about it.
- Fixed missing tooltips for the detailed table headers. Also fixed the hovering of cells in the table so you can now see the full value of any cell in the table.
- Fixed the update of the cookie number in brackets when deleting cookies one by one from the detailed table.Codice sorgente rilasciato sotto licenza Solo GNU General Public License v3.0
Versione 2.4
Rilasciato 13 set 2024 - 74,11 kBCompatibile con firefox58.0 e successivev2.4
- Added the ability to undo the very last cookie deletion after clicking on a website: a new 'backwards' icon appears to allow you to undo it (as always, hover over the icon for more details)
v.2.3
- SimpleCookie now accurately displays and manages 3rd party cookies that have a partition key (also known as partitioned cookies or shared cookies or CHIPS), meaning that you should now be able to view and manage all cookies regardless of the container/jar they are stored in and whether or not they have a partition key. Check out this link if you don't know what I'm talking about: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/Privacy/Privacy_sandbox/Partitioned_cookies
- Websites that store partitioned cookies are marked with a special icon that can be disabled in the preferences (try searching for some videos on Google and you will see some third-party YouTube cookies appear while you are still on Google and not on YouTube)
- Added a confirmation prompt when you click on the shortcut icons, so you don't accidentally delete too much. By the way, the "radiation" icon is very similar to using Firefox's "Clear browsing data and cookies" feature, by going to Firefox Menu > History > Clear recent history... for "Everything"
- The setting to change the extraction level has been removed and a fixed value of -2 is now enforced. In addition, a new exception list has been set up in the code for some specific Second Level Domains (SLDs) so that they can be displayed better in SimpleCookie (I added more than 300 exceptions covering SLDs used in several countries). Websites with SLDs like .co.uk or .gouv.fr should now display better in the main popup, despite a fixed value of -2. Contact me on GitHub if you need more exceptions
- For the kind people who want to support me, I have added in the settings a tip me option in bitcoin over the Lightning network (Bolt12)!
- The popup.js code has been optimized and reorganized to make it more readable
- The tracker database has been updatedCodice sorgente rilasciato sotto licenza Solo GNU General Public License v3.0

Versione 2.2
Rilasciato 26 lug 2024 - 53,36 kBCompatibile con firefox58.0 e successive- SimpleCookie now accurately displays and manages all websites and cookies that are/were opened in special containers. Containers allow you to separate your browsing activities and you can now access them from the popup. Check out this link if you don't know what I'm talking about: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-use-firefox-containers
- Websites from special containers are marked with a special icon, which can be disabled in the preferencesCodice sorgente rilasciato sotto licenza Solo GNU General Public License v3.0
Versione 2.1
Rilasciato 24 lug 2024 - 52,69 kBCompatibile con firefox58.0 e successive- UI adjustmentsCodice sorgente rilasciato sotto licenza Solo GNU General Public License v3.0
Versione 2.0
Rilasciato 11 lug 2024 - 52,4 kBCompatibile con firefox58.0 e successiveMajor Update
- The detailed table has been completely redesigned. Right-clicking on a specific domain/website no longer opens a new tab, but displays the detailed table directly in the popup itself. You can also right-click multiple domains to expand the number of detailed cookies belonging to different sites in the same table.
- You can now left-click on any line of the detailed table to delete a specific cookie. Useful if you don't want to delete all cookies associated with a domain, but only specific ones.
- Updated cookie size calculation to match the one used by Firefox when using the Web Developer Tool (name + value in bytes)
- Fixed the SameSite attribute where, for example, "Lax" was not displayed
- Added three new options in the settings menu to toggle the Ghostery tracking database feature, toggle a new indicator for the active tab (the open tabs are still highlighted in green), and finally toggle the bottom ribbon with the icon shortcuts (in case you want something even more minimalist, or just because you don't want to accidentally click and delete too many things...!)
- Added a fourth shortcut to quickly access the settings from the bottom ribbon. You can also access the settings via the Firefox Add-ons menu -> SimpleCookie -> Options/Preferences (useful if you disable the bottom ribbon and want to access the settings again)
- Removed the notification permission that appeared in v1.9, which I accidentally forgot while trying an additional feature that I decided not to integrate for now
- Optimized UI (main popup, detailed table and settings) and code
- Updated the tracker databaseCodice sorgente rilasciato sotto licenza Solo GNU General Public License v3.0
Versione 1.9
Rilasciato 5 lug 2024 - 51,99 kBCompatibile con firefox58.0 e successive- Added a preferences menu (go to Firefox Preferences -> Add-ons -> SimpleCookie -> 'Preferences' tab)
- Added a first option in this preferences menu to select the level of main domain extraction from -1 to -4 (-2 by default). This should improve the extraction and listing of domains when SimpleCookie cannot distinguish between e.g. two-level country domains (thanks to @reification-zz for pointing this out)
- Updated the open tab highlighting feature to work properly with the new main domain extraction setting
- Tracker database updateCodice sorgente rilasciato sotto licenza Solo GNU General Public License v3.0
Versione 1.8
Rilasciato 22 apr 2024 - 48,69 kBCompatibile con firefox48.0 e successive- Code optimization
- Tracker database updateCodice sorgente rilasciato sotto licenza Solo GNU General Public License v3.0
Versione 1.7
Rilasciato 20 apr 2024 - 48,5 kBCompatibile con firefox48.0 e successive- New feature: SimpleCookie now uses an internal tracking database derived from the Ghostery Tracker Database (https://github.com/ghostery/trackerdb) to identify organizations/websites known to track behavior (a ghost icon is displayed near the identified domains). While this does not confirm the collection of data in requests and cookies from these sites, they are known for their impact on user privacy
- The third icon on the right now deletes more: cookies, browsing history, cached images and files, autofill form data, download history, service workers, plugin data, saved passwords, local storage data, and indexedDB data
- UI improvements (zoom effect on icons, horizontal separator disappears when the cookie list is empty, etc.)Codice sorgente rilasciato sotto licenza Solo GNU General Public License v3.0
Versione 1.6
Rilasciato 4 apr 2024 - 18,08 kBCompatibile con firefox48.0 e successive- Revised the detailed view (right click)
- Code cleaningCodice sorgente rilasciato sotto licenza Solo GNU General Public License v3.0
Versione 1.5
Rilasciato 26 mar 2024 - 17,45 kBCompatibile con firefox48.0 e successive- New icons for the extension and bottom shortcuts
- The css code has been updated so that the extension should use a system font that is more appropriate for the operating system it runs on, both for the popup and the details window (San Francisco for macOS, Segoe UI for Windows, Roboto for Ubuntu, etc.)
- Fixed an issue where cookies for subdomains were not extracted correctly, resulting in incorrect aggregation of cookies per main domain for some sites (for example, nih.gov-related sites)
- Changed the behavior of the bottom shortcuts. The first icon on the left now deletes all cookies from closed tabs and keeps those used by open tabs (whose domains are highlighted in green). Basically, it keeps the cookies "in use" and gets rid of those previously used by tabs that are now closed. The second icon in the middle deletes all cookies without exception. The third icon on the right deletes all cookies, browsing and download history, cache, etc.Codice sorgente rilasciato sotto licenza Solo GNU General Public License v3.0
