As a user of this extension for about 10 years ...a couple of years ago (2021) when they did the update to the new interface style etc. I immediately warned people to not use it.
Its bad, breaks everything, I reverted back to the last oldest version before that very update ... and I am still using that very version (4.9.2) right now.
I find that it still works good and better then any later version ever could.
I see things havent exactly gotten better since the last time I checked in here.
I also see some people asking for the native app but can't find any. I still have it.

This rar includes the original 4.9.2 addon installation files for Firefox and the matching native app.
For those interested;
Uninstall any current version of the addon and native app.
Simply extract the .rar
Drag the fx.xpi file into firefox, and it should pop up asking to install
Install the native app if you want
But in Firefox, disable Auto updates on this extension, it just ruins it.
In case you were going to want to try .... I can not guarantee that this specific native app version works with a later browser addon version either. It might just start crying about how that's not up to date. I am not gonna go through the trouble of testing it, I just don't care enough. There are other browser addons to begin with as well.

Antes esta Add funcionaba de maravilla.

pubblicato il 3 anni faPlease try to completely reset the extension at the menu Settings - Reset, click the WIPE OUT AND RESET button.
This will delete any data in the extension storage, and reload the extension.

That got fixed but now I get a "encryption key mismatch" error message on everything....

I have used it for years with no issues. The problem is, after the most recent updates, something broke, and it broke bad.
As many others have pointed out, Firefox will not run properly with this add-on in its current form. Reinstalling or resetting the data helps in the immediate short term, but within a day or two, you will have issues again.
For the sake of the developers, I sincerely hope they can fix the issue. For now, I'm afraid I have to leave this disabled until whatever the problem is gets fixed.
EDIT: It's been about 2 months and I'm afraid to say that this add-on is still very very broken. I cant tell you how or why, but invariably (even after a fresh install) It will slow Firefox down to a crawl after being active for a day or so.
Further, every time this happens it causes my computer to freeze on shut down and start up. Ill have to power cycle a few times to get things working again. This has happened 100% of the time ever since the issues with this Add-on have started. It is fixed 100% of the time when the add-on is disabled.
It saddens me greatly, but I think this is officially a lost cause.Replica dello sviluppatore

Please bring it back to how it was before the totally unnecessary 'improvements' which spoiled a once 5 star app. When something isn't broke, it doesn't require developer 'fixing'. I will wait for another update and hope things return to how they once were, when it was 5 star worthy. Any chance of a link to the original Ant Video before it was destroyed with recent updates? 98% of users saying virtually the same thing. 2% still giving 5 stars..all I can say is wow, doesn't seem genuine at all. Will definitely give 5 stars if you return things back to normal.

I tried "hard reset" or whatever it was but, history keeps on adding up to hundreds. I know any programs will data-mine. But, after you are done, let me just erase them simply like used to. Oh, I just now, literally just now, found that there is a trash can icon at the top, now. Will see if it can clear things up.

Does exactly what it's supposed to do. A clean install fixed the memory leak issue.

Check if you have enabled option "Try to process ciphered URLs" at Settings - Video detection - YouTube. It may hang the extension (but not the browser) for a while.

The design was clean, it worked well and was able to grab videos that others could not.
Nice work by the developers.
No disrespect to the developers but this latest version really looks like it could need some finetuning.
To me, it seems on the bloated side and cluttered when compared to the previous versions.
It also seems more difficult to use and possibly buggy.
For example, I am unable to remove failed downloads, even though the source tabs have been shut down.
