by Justin, 4 years agoOverall it's a good extension but I've had trouble getting my tabs back twice now. This ext would get 5 stars if there was the option to export automatically. As a developer, I don't see why this would be a difficult feature to add. After the first time, I started exporting my tabs periodically so if I did lose any then I probably could remember the most important links from recent memory. This time I lost all my tabs and the icon disappeared. From reading the reviews, I'm far from alone.
To restore my tabs I found a review with instructions. Go to ~/.mozilla/firefox/2tz4pwhp.default/extensions or a similar path in the Files GUI then double-click on a file called extension@one-tab.com.xpi . This opened up onetab, restored my lost tabs, and fixed the missing icon in my browser after giving permissions in the oneTab pop up in my browser and refreshing my OneTab open tab. I am using Ubuntu 18.04 LTS and Firefox 80.0.1 (64 bit). Hope this helps.
Update: This only fixed the problem temporarily. I had to follow the steps again after restarting my computer. An easier step, as was already mentioned in some reviews, is to simply go to Add-Ons in Open Menu (top right corner) and then disable OneTab by clicking the white circle in the blue oval. Click it again to enable OneTab and it should be working again.

Developer response
posted 4 years agoHi, sorry about this. We've been working with Mozilla all morning to resolve this. Mozilla have confirmed it was due to a bug in Firefox (related to extension permissions downgrades).
To fix OneTab, just go to “about:addons” in your Firefox address bar, click the ‘cog’ icon in the top right, and click ‘Check for updates’. This will upgrade you to OneTab v1.39, which fixes the issue.
We are working on automatic data syncing/exporting.

To all those who write that all of your data is lost in onetime.
Have you tried making a backup locally on the hard drive, after 100 pages saved in OneTab? Or do you all think that you can save an infinite number of pages without the memory running out?😒 - Rated 5 out of 5by Zareh, 9 days ago

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 15160960, 23 days agoIt works well. But I already have lost all my data (about a thousand links) in OneTab once.
Onetab is not a backup tool !!
Fortunately, it has a great import/export function that is very easy to create backups. So use it! Don't make same mistake as I did. - Rated 5 out of 5by mimteatr, a month ago

It need a lot of improvement before it would be useful. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 18422950, a month ago

To avoid this, it is necessary to right-click each page and send it to OneTab, which is high labor-intensive. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 18418018, a month ago

- Rated 5 out of 5by Jon, a month agoThis extension makes tab management super easy. I have had all my tab links disappear before, but they have always shown up again with a refresh or a browser restart. To be safe though, I do export my tabs occasionally.
I especially like:
- ability to name tab groups
- ability to lock tab groups
- ability to quickly reopen a tab group
- when my tabs get out of control, I send them all to OneTab where they are much easier to pick and choose the keepers and then sort them
The only thing that is mildly annoying for me is that I will occasionally hit the OneTab icon in my toolbar by mistake and send all my tabs to OneTab. This is a very minor inconvenience though because I can restore all the tabs almost as quickly. - Rated 5 out of 5by Alejandro, a month ago

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 5813676, 2 months agoDO NOT INSTALL THIS. It will delete all of your tabs, with no way to recover them. Check the other reviews, this is happening to everyone.
