- Rated 4 out of 5by Andre Bell, 3 months agoDamages Linkedin, as other comments here and on github have noted. Enable 'Advanced' settings and add Linkedin.com to the whitelist and all is well again. Do NOT alter any other settings unless you want your browser vulnerable to the noted exploit mentioned in the FAQ.

性能の低いコンピュータでこれを使用するのはおすすめしません。 - Rated 4 out of 5by abdoun, 6 months ago
- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 18383988, 6 months agoOverall works well BUT, when protecting Navigator (choosing a different OS or browser, any of the 2) it is caught by https://iphey.com/
Developer response
posted 6 months agoNavigator protection is always tricky and you cannot hide it completely. But if I choose a different OS it does not get caught by this page. Maybe there is something additional that causes that in your setup. - Rated 4 out of 5by snadge, 9 months agonot perfect, but it helps, especially if it is used with other addons, it still doesn't randomize your fingerprint like BRAVE does, only BRAVE gets 3 yes's on EFF's 'cover your tracks' (Ads, Trackers, Fingerprints), or, this addon, with Ublock Origin, Privacy Badger, Local CDN and NoScript (is what I use on Librewolf) gets you all 3 yes's on EFF (1 in 900, so 'common as muck' fingerprint, and unable to track & trace through fingerprinting)

- Rated 4 out of 5by Goodboy22, 2 years agoDear developer! Add-on has an issue. Faking=>Random number generator=> 'persistent' and 'constant' options don't work both! Please fix that or maybe I have to apply some browser settings?
Also preset parameters option doesn't appear.
I use Android versions of Firefox nightly or Fennec.
!!!UPD: Pls upload ver 1.10 here. Thanks in advanceDeveloper response
posted 2 years agoI can reproduce the rng problem on Fennec (but only there - not in desktop Firefox). Created https://github.com/kkapsner/CanvasBlocker/issues/654 for that.
For the present parameters I do not exactly know what you mean. Please open an issue at https://github.com/kkapsner/CanvasBlocker/issues. - Rated 4 out of 5by theoneand33, 2 years ago

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 14013375, 3 years agoAs far as i know it worked fine for me so far, but i started using Google Sheets and it kill the performance. Very laggy and slow sheets.
When i disabled this extension it started to scroll smooth as a kitty.
Update: disabling the extension on the site fixed the issue.Developer response
posted 3 years agoIt's most probably the protection of DOMRects. You can disable it on a site by site basis.
If this does not help please open an issue at https://github.com/kkapsner/CanvasBlocker/issues were we can communicate better and others can find the solution better. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 12370795, 3 years agoI've been using this extension for quite a long while and it was working fine, but recently it has created trouble with ebay.co.uk on my laptop. I cannot navigate on eBay. I got the following error message: CanvasBlocker is slowing down Firefox. To speed up your browser stop that extension.
Developer response
posted 3 years agoIt's the same issue as with ebay.com.au (https://github.com/kkapsner/CanvasBlocker/issues/555). Unfortunately there is little I can do about this. So the only solution is to whitelist ebay.co.uk for the DOMRect API - Rated 4 out of 5by Tibs, 4 years agoA good add-on with tons of settings, and information regarding them. Not a fan of the UI, though. The add-on window, only shows 5 options, and one search bar. I would like to see this expanded with more options relating to what's being blocked/altered (or is not), whitelisting, and so on. The main add-on Settings page also looks ugly, but at least it's functional.
Overall, I would suggest this add-on to others. I found it does a better job than competition, which considering how much there is, is pretty impressive.Developer response
posted 4 years agoYou can find the information about what is blocked/faked in the page action menu by clicking on the fingerprint icon in the address bar. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 13950755, 4 years ago
- Rated 4 out of 5by quirK, 4 years agoWhitelisting works, and even has 2 different kinds of whitelisting. The global one, as well as the one by API breakdown. Both need to be updated in terms of UI response and have a better and faster way of adding a website. No easy way to set a safe setting that *just works*, something always breaks and there's no easy "whitelist this specific breakage" button available.
Developer response
posted 4 years agoThe whitelisting is working for me. Please open an issue at https://github.com/kkapsner/CanvasBlocker/issues with your specific problem and your setting.
I mostly use default settings and have no whitelist defined. Please also mention the web sites that break in your issue.
How the whitelist button can be found is explained here for example: https://github.com/kkapsner/CanvasBlocker/issues/330
PS: the UI is a topic I want to tackle in the near future. - Rated 4 out of 5by Ano Nymous, 4 years agoAn sich funktioniert das AddOn sauber.
Ein Stern abzug gibt es für das etwas fummlige Menü und es bremmst den Browser merkbar aus.
Selbst beim Browser-Start braucht es ein paar Sekunden, bis es 100% läuft. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 14428109, 4 years agoGreat extension!
I would like to submit a suggestion, would it be possible to allow shortcut key to duplicate a tab in another profile?Developer response
posted 4 years agoI'm not sure what you mean by "in another profile". Please open an issue at https://github.com/kkapsner/CanvasBlocker/issues with an exact description of your suggestion/request. - Rated 4 out of 5by Luke, 5 years ago
