by Intrepid, 3 years agoNo longer being updated. Bug reports go answered and are not fixed. Causes malfunctions with many websites such as Amazon search result sorting (e.g., Sort by: Price Low to High). No way to exclude websites like you can do with uBlock Origin. ClearURLs would be great if it had this one feature. Without this option, turning it on and off is an annoyance. Sadly, I'm leaving it off, and just using it's right click ability to clean / shorten URLs on an as needed basis. Bummer. Update: Someone responded to the Amazon bug and provided a workaround here:

- Rated 3 out of 5by marzemino, 2 months agoThis isn't so much a review of this addon as it is a complaint about Mozilla. I don't understand why Mozilla "recommends" this addon but does not recommend Neat URL, when I can add custom patterns to the latter but not to the former. I'm convinced ClearURLs only has more users because it has been blessed with a quasi-official "recommendation" from Mozilla, even it lacks functionality which is available with another addon.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 16750493, 2 months agoI have problem with amazon tr. It doesn't work when you delete the reference on category pages. Her is a sample page. I will edit my comment if you fix this problem, thanks.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Laurent, 2 months agoExcellent idea but unusable in its current state. It breaks many websites and there's no whitelist system to allow certain websites, so you constantly have to disable/enable the add-on.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12171051, 2 months agoOne of the world's great extentions and now part of my permanent core favourites. Having this extention is a no-brainer and an absolute necessity in this era of ever-encroaching privacy invasion and unsolicited, intrusive tracking and spying, and companies profiting from users' data. Well done, great work and many thanks Kevin R!
