3 stars because this bug is not fixed throughout the entire 4th branch.
The last working version is 3.9.5 as written below.

Yes, 4.4.2, the problem is gone, thank you!
As a wish, I would like to be able to set the icon search manually, so far I do it through JSON export/import. - Rated 5 out of 5by Hassanjwr6, 2 years agoThank you for this amazing addon, But I found one problem, I searched everywhere and could'nt find a solution.
How can I add links with this pattern to CS?
I tried this,
"www.example.com/search/%s"
etc.
but most of time it returns nothing or returns a debug page of the site that shocked me.
one real example for this problem is Nexusmod when searching for a game.
How can I add it to CS ?
Please Help
Edit:
I just sent message to author, he is a nice guy.
The problem is the some website do not use the legecy method of URL search method such as google, youtube, etc. They use POST method and you need another addons for that I will leave the reply from Olivier him self, Thank you very much Olivier.

Hi Hassan,
I think the problem is that those websites use the POST method for the searches which my version of Context Search doesn’t support.
I actually don’t know how to add that feature to CS, so I can only recommend another very good extension which does support POST methods:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/contextsearch-web-ext/
Kind regards,
Olivier

posted 2 years agoplease make sure that you allow the required permission for export to work- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 16318253, 2 years agoWorks like a charm. Thank you, sir!
Just for information. Image reverse searching is great, but I discovered it only after a month or so of using. So is the image info feature. Maybe it would be better to make them more notable somehow. - Rated 5 out of 5by joshg253, 3 years ago

I was wondering if there is a way to add the search engines that are on some manga sites using the WordPress system. Cause they attach &post_type=wp-manga at the end of the search so it's hard to get this add-on to include thatDeveloper response
posted 2 years agoThank you, Sivana. I think that what you're looking for is to create aa search query string where the search terms may be in the middle of the string. The search query string is the generic url you would use to perform a search. Search query strings may contain the parameters %s or {searchTerms} where you'd like your search terms to appear, i.e. the selected text. If you need more help, feel free to email me with the address of the website you need a search query string for. - Rated 5 out of 5by hunter, 3 years agoMust have!
One small issue though:
The icon in address-bar is shown even if website is already in the search list.

EDIT: Excellent news! Thanks for the hard work!Developer response
posted 2 years agoThanks, hunter! The Page action icon should now only appear when an opensearch plugin is available from the website you're visiting. It makes it easier to add a search engine. I'll see if I can further improve things so that the icon is hidden if the search engine has already been added. Please bare with me. - Rated 5 out of 5by Zesko, 3 years ago

Update : Fixed thanks man! - Rated 5 out of 5by strok3, 4 years agoI've lost all my custom search engines with the last update. Dude, If it something works, don't touch it.
Edit:
I've recovered all settings and custom search engines from an profile backup. Simpler.Developer response
posted 4 years agoPlease kindly refer to https://github.com/odebroqueville/contextSearch/issues/82 to try and recover your search engines, then you can re-install Context Search and import your recovered search engines. - Rated 5 out of 5by jtbrannon, 4 years agoI've been using this add-on for many years, and it saves a ton of time. I was a little disappointed in the recent update that broke some things, but it gave me the opportunity to clean up some of the engines and organize what I really use. I noticed the dev monitors these reviews. Do you know how to add google images? I tried "https://images.google.com/search?q=" but that only takes me to google images search page. What would I put to go directly to the search results?
Developer response
posted 4 years agoYou can run a Google Image Search by adding the tbm=isch query parameter:
https://www.google.com/search?tbm=isch&q= - Rated 5 out of 5by Lauri, 4 years agoAfter the latest update I seem to have room for max 13 active search engines in the context menu. Can it be fixed? Excellent add-on!
Edit: I managed to re-add the search engines I wanted, but it didn't work right away. Also after the update all settings and search engines were gone, but luckily I had them in a local file, but after importing only 13 were shown in the menu.
Answer: 14 active out of 17 in total. First the top one wasn't shown. Then I deleted and re-added it, after which the bottom one disappeared from the menu. Then delete and re-add again, and it worked.
