posted 6 years agoThank you for sharing your search engine and thank you for using Context Search. - Rated 5 out of 5by Anjelus, 7 years agoThis really streamlines my browsing. Is there a way, though, to modify the Amazon search to search all departments rather than only for books? That would be perfect for me (not that I don't appreciate the book-only search).

posted 6 years agoIf you delete the Amazon (book search) engine you can add a new search engine with the following URL:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/search/ref=sr_adv_b/?unfiltered=1&field-keywords=
That gives you all results on Amazon, not only books.
Thank you for using Context Search. - Rated 5 out of 5by Relven, 7 years agoI am enjoying this addon but I am hoping you plan on adding this feature in the future. Is this function on your to do list? It would come in handy to process multiple searches without having to right click multiple times to use more than one search engine.
Update: The feature you mention is helpful but only to an extent i.e. allowing more than one set of multi engine multi tab searches? What I mean is I have a few engines I use for one type of search and then another few engines I use for another type of search. Is this possible and I am not seeing it in the settings?Developer response
posted 7 years agoYour feature request will not be implemented. However, version 3.51 now includes the possibility to select multiple search engines to be used in a Multitab search. The search engines are selected by checking the check boxes between the keywords and the query string urls in the extension's preferences page. You must then not forget to save your preferences. Finally, carry out your searches by selecting the "Multiple tabs search" menu item from the context menu. - Rated 5 out of 5by Bhoppi, 7 years agoThe new version 3.5 < previous 3.22, which disables auto update
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 5487344, 7 years agoI would like the option to open in new windows instead of adjacent tab. I personally like each search (and results) grouped in its own window.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Marty, 7 years agoThis works good in the latest nightly. It took some time but I got the same search engines exactly as I had them in previous firefox versions. Context search is a must feature for me.
One request: would it be possible to have an option that opens search results in the same tab? Context Search X is the only one that had it but it's no longer available for 57+.
Update: thanks for adding that same tab option in version 3.19, it works great when searching from a web page. Note: there is a bug if you try hightlighting text when searching from about:support, it won't search in the same tab but it does if you open a new tab.Developer response
posted 7 years agoThe option to open search results in the same tab is available in version 3.19 - Rated 5 out of 5by Teko, 7 years agoThanks a lot, It works fine as described.
it would be better, if you add an option/entry to search the current site using google (Site Search) - Rated 5 out of 5by EffPeh, 7 years agoGreat! A really well thought-out extension.
I used "Add to Search Bar" before I find this tool. But this extension is much more better. I love the possibility to use a JSON file to customize my list.
It's not that important, but it would be nice if I could determine the order of the search engines by myself. Maybe the way I created it in the JSON file. Thank you for this excellent extension. :)

posted 7 years agoYour feature request might eventually be implemented, but I can't give you a time frame for this right now. For now, the search engines list is sorted alphabetically. - Rated 5 out of 5by Götz, 7 years agoWorks great as a a modern web-extension replacement for Context Search!
- Rated 5 out of 5by Reggie, 7 years agoWorks well but doesn't seem to recognize characters such as # and &. If included in selected text, everything after it is ignored. Searching for them alone redirects to main search homepage.

- Rated 5 out of 5by JonnyOne, 7 years agoNow i can edit my previous review. I have managed to make this addon works. It now deserves 6 stars!
The problem was "webextensions.storage.sync.enabled" sets to "false" in about:config Developer response
posted 7 years agoI will add startpage, but you may want to give Lilo a try. This search engine also uses Google and has the advantage of enabling you to contribute to numerous social and environmental projects just by searching. You can find out more at https://www.lilo.org/en/.- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12793893, 7 years agoLike the idea of being to able to choose which engine to use, depending on context :)
- Rated 5 out of 5by streetwolf, 7 years agoAre you going to let the user add their own search engines?
- Rated 5 out of 5by el-cravito, 7 years agoWith version 2.11 all the search engines that I need are already included.
Excellent work!
