Reviews for KeePassXC-Browser
KeePassXC-Browser by KeePassXC Team

by Mav, 7 years agoDoes not connect to KeepassXC at all. Tried as much as possible, confirmed KeepassXC has an open port running on 19455. Added local port rules for it, and even completely disabled firewall (TinyWall) but this Firefox extension does not see it. The only error status it shows is " Timeout or not connected to KeePassXC ".
The only documentation is found on the github page, but nothing on troubleshooting to find out what's wrong.

posted 7 years agoCurrently this extension needs a development build of KeePassXC. The current stable build is not yet supported. The info text has been added to the extension page. Sorry for the confusion. A build that works with the extension will be released soon. Thanks.

- Rated 5 out of 5by David, 19 days agoWorks great, improves security with better passwords and basic protection against phishing. One of the two addons I have installed.
The shortcuts could be advertised more prominently: Alt+Shift+U triggers auto-fill. - Rated 5 out of 5by HallsTinyMints, a month ago

- Rated 4 out of 5by Vinícius, a month agoMostly great. It would be perfect if just works with Firefox and Keepass flatpak versions.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Andrei, 2 months agoThis does not work at all. I am on Github login page with an open KeepassXC database that has an entry with given URL exactly at it appears in brower with /login and still it says "Error: no logins found. (github url but without /login)"
edit: i'm using the exact URL of github login page, with https, exactly as it appears in browser.Developer response
posted 2 months agoThis only means your entry has an invalid URL for the site. Try using the most simple form, for example https://example.com. The URL scheme also matters. Entry URLs starting with http are not valid for https sites. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 18722527, 3 months agoIt doesn't work for me. Windows 11 ver 24H2, Firefox 133.0. Keepass XC ver 2.7.9.
It simply display: Error! No logins found.
Fixed. URL's are okay. Reinstalled Firefox and now it works. Thanks!Developer response

- Rated 5 out of 5by abunakov, 3 months agoI'm giving this add-on 5 stars because a) this add-on works great, b) I want to thank the devs (thank you guys!), and c) I want to improve the average rating lowered by people who are quick to give 1 star ratings but who are actually unable to even read the docs -- educate yourself please.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Nick Richards, 3 months agoAs other users have mentioned, on ubuntu derived distributions this extension works with native browsers but not any browsers installed via snap or flatpak. This is a very problematic flaw on any ubuntu-related operating system! Unfortunately, it has made this extension virtually unusable for me.

posted 3 months agoOne star reviews about this are understandable, but after all it is 100% a Snap issue, not a bug in the extension itself.
