I also feel this extension has little to no use (especially for Firefox) First of all. the auto type sequence is a highly dangerous function. Even if the record inside the keepass database is all set to work for multi page logon, and one changes the global settings by accident. (or update!) all the custom fields are vanished Thus text is just injected into space.
And this is just a KeepassXC bug/~feature~
*sidenote: On Chromium on ubuntu the extension just works out of the box.
On firefox 10 out 10 times this extension is not connected to the database and even if the extension believes to be connected its not, due to KeepassXC not getting kicked alive.
For these hasles it it just not worth the effort.
Just learn the keyboard shortcuts to quickly find and copy the fields needed and insert them manually. The proxy to tunnel the uname/pwd into the browser will not be available i assume.
Second to that: I believe that if your pc is already in a state where you can't trust your computers (basic) functions as per example the clipboard; one has a whole lot of other problems to deal with prior to thinking about security and privacy enhancements
endnote: 5 (Five) stars for the time and effort from the team on KeepassXC itself

- Rated 5 out of 5by David, 18 days agoWorks great, improves security with better passwords and basic protection against phishing. One of the two addons I have installed.
The shortcuts could be advertised more prominently: Alt+Shift+U triggers auto-fill. - Rated 5 out of 5by HallsTinyMints, a month ago

- Rated 4 out of 5by Vinícius, a month agoMostly great. It would be perfect if just works with Firefox and Keepass flatpak versions.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Andrei, 2 months agoThis does not work at all. I am on Github login page with an open KeepassXC database that has an entry with given URL exactly at it appears in brower with /login and still it says "Error: no logins found. (github url but without /login)"
edit: i'm using the exact URL of github login page, with https, exactly as it appears in browser.Developer response
posted 2 months agoThis only means your entry has an invalid URL for the site. Try using the most simple form, for example https://example.com. The URL scheme also matters. Entry URLs starting with http are not valid for https sites. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 18722527, 2 months agoIt doesn't work for me. Windows 11 ver 24H2, Firefox 133.0. Keepass XC ver 2.7.9.
It simply display: Error! No logins found.
Fixed. URL's are okay. Reinstalled Firefox and now it works. Thanks!Developer response

- Rated 5 out of 5by abunakov, 3 months agoI'm giving this add-on 5 stars because a) this add-on works great, b) I want to thank the devs (thank you guys!), and c) I want to improve the average rating lowered by people who are quick to give 1 star ratings but who are actually unable to even read the docs -- educate yourself please.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Nick Richards, 3 months agoAs other users have mentioned, on ubuntu derived distributions this extension works with native browsers but not any browsers installed via snap or flatpak. This is a very problematic flaw on any ubuntu-related operating system! Unfortunately, it has made this extension virtually unusable for me.

posted 3 months agoOne star reviews about this are understandable, but after all it is 100% a Snap issue, not a bug in the extension itself.
